Groovy!
HippiePriestess8623 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
After Phoebe and Paige have moved out of the manor to be with their respective boyfriends, Chris tries to get the Charmed Ones back together to vanquish a slime demon. Back at the manor, Paige and Phoebe discover that their belongings have been moved into the attic, and while searching for a change of clothes, Paige finds a pair of go-go boots. Once she tries them on, she's transported to the Summer of Love, where she meets the Charmed Ones' grandfather Allen, a younger Grams, and Leo! While Piper and Phoebe also transport themselves to the '60s to keep their sister from changing history, Leo, Chris, baby Wyatt, and Grams's ghost are left to deal with the slime demon, which feeds off magic.

The One Where Paige Goes Back In Time, Again...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode. It's one of my all-time favorite episodes of Charmed. And not just from Season 6, but from the whole series. Even though every episode is awesome to me.

In this episode, whilst going through boxes in the attack, Paige puts on a pair of go-go boots that belonged to Penny, their Grams. After she puts them on, she is transported to the 1960s where she meets Penny, but a young Penny. Meanwhile, back in the present, Piper and Phoebe summon Grams to find out what happened. They then both put on clothing items that will take them to the Summer Of Love. When they get there, Paige accidentally ruins the future by saving Penny's husband, who was destined to die. Because this, Penny never became the ruthless witch she was, so when a warlock comes to wreck havoc, at first she takes it. But then he kills her husband, but instead of getting mad at the warlock, she gets mad at herself. The sisters must change Penny back to who she was meant to be before their present is messed up.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Freaking Ridonkulous.

That Sixties episode
owlaurence8 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Flawless fun from the very first scene to the last. Every time Grams is around, the dialog is bound to get livelier, and this time is no exception... especially since there are so many Grams to go around. The present-day plot mainly focuses on The Creature That Has No Name, an ugly green goo that feeds off magic... which poses a real problem at the manor, what with the baby orbing things constantly and the basement harbouring a very big Nexus. And to crown it all, Leo and Chris are the only ones left to protect the place, along with a particularly bossy Grams (did you see Chris jump back after standing up to her ?) ; but they soon discover that bossy is not the worst thing Grams could be. Still, they don't really get much done, but the episode delicately shows that they're unwillingly forming a bond.

And the sisters are off to rewrite their own past again -although by now, they should really know better than to try on Grams' old clothes (remember Phoebe's engagement ring ?). Anyway, the contrast between the Year of Love and the present offers some hilarious glances into everybody's past (yay Leo the Sunlord !) or forebears (yay Luther Morris !). And the best thing ? through it all, demons, fireballs and all, Piper remains absolutely unflappable : apparently, living on her own agrees with her temper.

Disappointing
moviefan66-124 January 2019
I LOVE charmed. It's really one of my favorite shows and I hate to give a negative review to any episode, but this one always bothered me for one major reason. All the damn timeline plot holes. And all created for one stupid reason, to show a hippy dippy Gramms that didn't even make any sense with the character at all. But they needed her to be young during the summer of love so here came this episode that just made no sense. There were a lot of good things about the episode in some senses but I don't like how they broke with the timeline.

Grandma was a hippy
Realrockerhalloween3 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Paige travels back in time to meet her grand mother was a hippy. Meanwhile a blob has taken over the manor and the witches are concerned about getting her back. This episode would be better if it had been Party as it messed with the time line making grams younger and excluding her friend Gail and Sam who would've been active in their lives during this time. Besides that it still feels like modern day with no music or rallies to attend and most of the action taking place in the manor. There is even a risk of changing the past as Paige vanquished the demon who killed their grandfather instead of grams making her not become a demon fighter. To me it says Grams is native, weak and not as strong they made her out to be at this point. The present scenes shows grams remaining a hippy but nothing seems different so the big threat The charmed ones won't be born is blown out of the water.

Another factor is the blob seemed like the writers ran out of ideas as we seen demons before who drain magic from users and doesn't even have proper name or description of what it is. Grams managed to vanquish him, but off screen proving it was thrown in to excuse having a big caste on set.
