Multiplicity of Charming and Power

After killing a boxer with a magic sword to steal his killer instinct, the warlock Gabriel uses the art collection of his sister Helena Statler to ambush Prue to kill her and get her power of the primogeniture witch. Prue uses a spell to increase her power, but she multiplies in three with two clones instead. The trio plus Phoebe and Piper plot a plan to defeat and destroy the invincible Gabriel, but when the clones are killed, the Halliwell sisters have to use the power of three.

"Which Prue Is It, Anyway?" is a very delightful episode where this charming and sexy actress Shannen Doherty has a great performance in three different personalities: the executive (black) Prue, the sexy (blue) Prue and the funny and silly (pink) Prue. It seems that finally Inspector Andy Trudeau will investigate witchcraft and magic. My vote is eight.

Quite possibly the best episode of the series.

I always have a soft spot for any Prue-centered Charmed episode and this one is one of the best of them, featuring not one but actually three versions of Prue, each slightly differing from the other. The two clones of Prue are created by accident to battle an invincible adversary.

The interaction of Prue Halliwell with her selves is real funny to watch, and otherwise the episode is thrilling. I think it may rate as one of the best Charmed episodes.

Pity though, that the romance with Andy Trudeau didn't work out in this first series.

Once, Twice, Three Times a Witch

In this highly original episode, a Lord of War (whatever that is) with a crystal sword (very fakey) is on a mission to kill a firstborn witch, and that means Prue, of course. Since Gabriel (the ironically named bad in question) is invulnerable as long as he has his sword, Prue casts a spell to triple her powers. In a commonly used Charmed twist, the spell doesn't do what Prue thinks its going to do, instead creating two clone Prue's into existence. Your typical hijinx, comedy, and misfortune ensues.

Mad props to Shannon for pulling off three distinct versions of Prue. Personally, I am partial for cheerful and perky Prue in the pink sweater. She was a breath of fresh air. Sexy Prue doesn't get to do as much until she pulls a very Prue maneuver of going off to try to kill Gabriel on her own, which of course leads to disaster.

Ultimately it takes all three sisters working together to dispatch Gabriel in a very well done scene that introduces Phoebe's martial arts ability, which will be a staple of the character in the future.

This episode pushes Andy about as far towards insanity as it can after he discovers one of Prue's clones after she has been killed. A distraught Andy goes to break the news to Phoebe only to be told everything is fine and not to worry. In the end, the evidence disappears, leaving Andy in complete disbelief. Really unfair here that the sisters (namely Prue) don't tell him their secret at this point rather than torturing the poor guy.

Other than that, entertaining episode highlighted by a wonderful performance by Shannon, one of her best.

The One With Three Prue's...

I absolutely love this episode. It's one of my all-time favorite episodes from this season, as well as the entire series.

In this episode, Phoebe has a premonition that Prue will be killed by a warlock. When Prue is lured by a client, she discovers that she and her brother are the warlocks they've been looking for. They discover that the Gabriel, the warlock, has a crystal sword that sucks powers out, and renders him invincible. The sisters discover that he has to get what was stolen by him from a witch, including the powers of a first-born witch, that being Prue. Prue decides to take a stand and uses a spell that will triple her power. But what she doesn't realize is that the spell does this by creating two duplicates of her. Now there are three Prue's walking around the manor. When Gabriel finds one of the duplicates and tries to steal the magic from her soul, Prue feels the death of her. When the second duplicate goes to distract Gabriel without telling the other Prue and Piper and Phoebe, she sacrifices herself. In the end, Prue is able to destroy Gabriel, using his sword as his weakness. Because his sword can hurt him. Andy is shocked when he had previously seen a dead Prue in the morgue, and now she is suddenly okay.

Fun Fact: This is the only episode title with Prue's name is in it, while there is only one with Paige, two with Piper, and four with Phoebe.

Fun Fact: When Andy goes through Prue's file, you can see an article relating to the events of Wicca Envy, saying "Auction House Mystery Remains Unsolved, Imposter Heirs Suspected Of Grand Larceny And Murder".

Fun Fact: This is one of only three episodes to have Phoebe get a premonition after touching one of her sisters.

Fun Fact: Piper runs up the stairs with her hair down, but enters the attack a few seconds later with her hair in a ponytail.

Best part of the episode: When the three Prue's are together.

Worst part of the episode: When the Prue duplicates die.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is Freaking Ridonkulous.

Two of a kind

Which Prue is it, anyway is about a Lord of War named Gabriel who uses a sword to capture abilities. His sister Helena helps him to trap the eldest Halliwell but with a spell and her sisters she stands a good chance to overcome them. Not my favorite ep as it doesn't really flow well and seems stuffy. I like how it goes into their history, but the plot's very thin leaving much to the imagination and never really clarifies what makes a Lord special. The only thing that stood out to me was the sword and how useful it could come.

Some attributes I enjoyed was the bonding of the sisters. How they play horse around and know how to turn each others buttons. Shannon was sexy, relaxed and having fun. While not my favorite it does further a few plot developments and shows another side to Prue you never knew was in her. I can wait to see this character blooms.
