The One With The Guy Who Plays Jigsaw...
taylorkingston21 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really like making up titles for these reviews, but this one was tricky. So I decided just to mention the man who plays Jigsaw in the film franchise, Saw. I also find it worthy of a mention, to say that someone who is in Saw II, who plays a victim, is also a main character of this episode. This episode creeps me out a little bit. It's probably the creepiest Charmed episode ever, but I still like to watch it.

In this episode, Phoebe has lost her powers, sort of. She can barely levitate and hasn't had a premonition in weeks. She goes to a physic, who ends up dead the next day. The physic was a gypsy, and a lot of gypsies have been getting murdered lately, with their eyes cut out. It's Orin. An evil man the tribe cursed and blinded many years ago. He's trying to find the Evil Eye, and does this by murdering and stealing eyes of the gypsy tribe members. In the end, the sisters find the Evil Eye first, and use the calling the matriarchs spell to destroy him. They use the spell to get all of the gypsy members to attack him, not the Halliwell's.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10.

There's no eye in team

Warning: Spoilers
The eyes have it is a favorite of mine as it explores how gypsies are similar to witches by having books of magic, making potions and fight warlock like beings known as hunters. Orin was a unique villain who is after the shuvanis who blinded him and take the evil eye. He developed some sort of third eye to track his victims, scaring the day lights out of them before taking a life. He reminds me A lot of The Source very powerful, feared by the gypsy community and even takes Ava's entire family tree to vanquish him.

Another surprising element was Phoebe's powers feeling blocked by her emotions and Yet it's never really explores after this point. Is it Cole or her work? Still when they do come unblocked she receives an astral premonition of their plan failing like a deluxe mechanism since it's never seen or used again. Maybe the writers had plans to expand her abilities and forgot it or wanted to show a cool effect. Still I find this segment to be clunky and needed a bit of clean up to mach the a plot. This is one of my favorite episode, Laurie Parras only having one writing credit for the show, did a fantastic job and I desperately wished they had kept her on.

When Jigsaw Met the Charmed Ones
arturo_smallcharm23 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode, even when some of their fans call it an unnecessary, but what I love is that this episode features two actors from the movie Saw II, released on 2005. Tobin Bell (aka Jigsaw) played Orin a blind demon trying to steal the gypsies eyes, it's when he met Ava Nicole,(played by Emmanuelle Vaughier which is super hot) a young doctor that has born as a Gypsies. The demon had to defeat the charmed ones in order to take Ava's eyes. At the end, she defeated him first.

Emmanuelle and Tobin, later will gather again in this movie, where Emmanuelle plays Addison, a young thief that fell in the Jigsaw's net. Of course she was murdered by Jigsaw, our demon in this episode.

Watch this episode, it's really, really cool.
