Of Fate and Faust

Warning: Spoilers
Another entertaining episode, although we'd like the main arc to kick in now. Once again, this episode focuses heavily on Paige, her latest temp job and her new boyfriend. The Faustian Deal part of the episode is rather well done, and it seems logical that a demonic soul market would develop. I always like it when the series shows the pragmatic consequences of magic. And even though Paige is very reckless and inconsiderate here, her "innocent" is nice enough that Paige's decision to save him is understandable... especially since she now sees her temp jobs as Missions. Btw, the topic of fate and karma vs luck and random events will be explored again later. And I particularly like the fact that the so-called "lowel-level demon" hasn't been one for years : clearly someone hasn't updated the Book of Shadows !

Phoebe's confrontation with Mr Spencer-the-Turkey is also very interesting. Last time, she had transformed him while under the influence of a spell, but she now does it again quite knowingly, which hints at her future problems. Meanwhile, Wyatt has developed a rather funny scheme to prevent his mother from dating other men. How typical. Finally, Leo and Chris are once again thrown together despite their mutual dislike. Some good scenes there, and Chris's decision to save Leo takes a brand new significance once you know a bit more about him.

The One Where Paige's Soul Is Sold At Auction...

Warning: Spoilers
I really do love this episode. It's just fantastic. It's one of my all-time favorite episodes, of the entire series. It's just great.

In this episode, Paige's temp-boss dies by the hands of demons and Paige suspects that he might've known that his time was up. Since he was giving donations to charity and making sure his will was all finalised. Anyway, she summons his spirit and finds out that he literally sold his soul to a demon, in exchange for being able to make some money. But once he realized he was gaining money and power from other peoples misfortune, he tried to give it all away before his time came. Paige desperately wants to save his soul, so she makes a deal with the demon. In exchange for Larry, the temp-boss, to go free, Paige would give her soul up and be sold at auction. The demon actually is quite smart, as he sells souls for powers, and now, instead of being a lower-level demon, he's pretty lethal. Piper and Phoebe find out what Paige is doing and they destroy the demons contracts, freeing all the souls and then they kill him. They were not happy with Paige's brave yet stupid decision.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.

Warning: Spoilers
Soul survivor follows Paige on one of her temp job as she helps a man who made a Faustian deal to reclaim his soul. Wyatt sabotages Piper's fates by exposing magic. I know Wyatt is only a baby, but it was a huge risk if one of these men ran to the press about their stories and tries to expose them. It actually is a good reason for piper to bind his powers so he can't cause any more havoc with them. Plus, I why her to be with Leo as I lived their relationship finding it sad that she won't be with him anymore. It breaks my heart to see him pinning over her.

The only true story to gain my attention is Paige risking her life for innocent so he can move on for being a good man. It really shows you how caring and good hearted she is out of the sisters instead of groaning about a normal life. Zahn is almost a favorite demon of mine as he sells souls at auction where they becomes slaves and can't rest in peace. It was an amazing concept they can be used as bargaining chips and contain such power.
