"You're saying that our son's evil ? AGAIN ?"
owlaurence25 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
A very good episode, although Paige and Phoebe mainly make token appearances. It's got a proper amount of craziness, some reasonable action, nice insights into characters' minds and quite a lot of emotion and foreshadowing. It doesn't precisely change the world, but we've had enough of those for this season.

Among the things I like, obviously, there's Wyatt. All Wyatts. It was a brilliant idea to show us adult Wyatt (who, btw, must have come from the same time period as Chris did): it shows that the Halliwells did manage to save the future after season 6... at least for now. Wyatt now is a happy, cheerful, easygoing boy... though one with astonishing powers. This, obviously, will not be such a good thing when his not-so-imaginary friend turns him evil through a curse that, interestingly enough, works through trust more than through magic. Logically then, trust has to be regained to reverse it. Leo's speech to Evil Wyatt is very moving, especially since it isn't a high-blown promise but a simple statement of facts. It's cool to see him go from frustration at not being able to fight demons, to realising that he can still win the fight. And I like what is said about good and evil in this episode : that it is a choice one must make every day, not just the consequence of a curse, a lucky stroke of the dice or even education.

Finally, I really have to list all the little crazy things that took this episode far above average : Paige's Maori charge, Viccus's very cool Cheshire Cat disappearances, Wyatt's inquiry about Chris's marble incident, Leo's reaction to his son's arrival : 10 secs of dumbstruck goggling, then "Explain !"... Just one thing : is it me, or is Leo feeding his 6-months old son PEANUTS ?
