Another awesome episode of charmed
joshuascook23 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
After piper casts her fearless spell she goes off to fight the sea hag after inviting Nancy o'del into the bathroom to have an interview with phoebe even though she has a fin. She gets caught by the sea hag and held captive until phoebe the mermaid helps to save her and doesn't change back till Paige goes and gets Cole to help her. Piper stomach begins to bleed but heals itself therefore piper discovers she has a self-healing baby

It was an excellent episode but a little disappointing considering they are charmed. it is just not my type of episode but i did enjoy it the 1st time. Usually i watch them quite a few times this is one i won't watch as often.

Phoebe Mispelled

Warning: Spoilers
I really liked this episode. Except could Phoebe say "I just want to be free" anymore than she did. I mean really were the writers out of ideas that day or what. I never liked the addition of Rose McGowan so I am just not going to comment on that but one cool thing is that at the end of the episode when Phoebe is signing the divorce papers, she spells her name wrong. She spells it Pheobe instead of the proper Phoebe. Funny little factoid I suppose.

The other thing that kind of bothered me was how Phoebe kept rhyming things like when she said she was "basking with belugas." I don't know I think it just sounds a little more hokey than I was hoping for in a two part season premier no less. Oh and also how when Mylie was still in and she kept saying "oh it's the call of the sea," Yeah we got the call of the sea and we got that Phoebe wants to be free and we got the rhyming even though I just did it. Oh well.

Come Shell or High water

Warning: Spoilers
The exciting conclusion picks up where Phoebe has now grown a fin and must avoid Necron before he takes her life. Cole is the only one to heal her broken heart and move on. A common problem I notice between two parters is the second half while still exciting always seem to go down in quality like Phoebe speaking on a baby voice as she rhymes her words, rehashed Miley's story and I find it unbelievable Piper would allow reporters near her fish sister.

Necron is scary and very powerful, but doesn't live up to his reputation from the book. The shell was a cool device that was underused since it would come in handy against other immortal beings. Another thing which breaks my heart is Phoebe divorcing Cole and setting up his self destructive arch which takes out the fun factor for season five to me. Plus, I was big shipper and its disheartening to see it couldn't be worked out or Phoebe couldn't see the good in him like Clay.

Still I have to credit it for introducing me to a great time "Blame it on the weatherman" which seems very fitting to and on. I rank it as my third favorite two parter episode.

The One Where Phoebe's A Mermaid...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this second part of the Season Premiere. It's very good.

In this episode, Phoebe has chosen to stay a mermaid. We all suspect, it's so she can get rid of Cole, once and for all. But running or swimming, I should say, from her problems, doesn't solve anything. Since Necron has killed the Sea Hag, he is on the hunt for a mermaids immortality. He tries to capture Phoebe, but Leo and Paige save her. She gives an interview whilst in the tub, covered with bubbles, so no one can see her tail. And Piper casts a spell to get over the her fears. Which doesn't help at all, especially when she gets kidnapped by Necron and used as bait. Phoebe, Paige and Leo eventually comes to Piper's rescue, and Phoebe agrees to give Necron her immortality. Paige casts a spell to kill Necron, which she's worried about using, since the only people to kill a being like Necron, died in the process. Eventaully, Necron is vanquished, and Piper is dragged down into the ocean and begins to drown. The ghost of her mother helps her to the surface and the baby heals all of Piper's wounds. Phoebe still swims away, and until Cole summons her and turns her back into a person.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.
