Six years ago a woman was raped in her bedroom. A man went to jail for the crime - not a nice guy - but now, because of advanced DNA technology not available then, it is proved that man was innocent. So now, despite all kinds of lawsuits being filed against Horatio and his CSI lab, they must find the real killer.
In time, the real killer is found and is promptly murdered. Now, another crime must be solved. Who did it? The previous man who was charged in the case? The rape victim? Her boyfriend? Someone else?
A second story, a very short one, involves Dr. Alex Woods (Khandi Alexander) more than normal. Doing an autopsy of a woman who had crashed her car and died, Alexx discovers a sponge left inside a woman who been operated on for an appendix removal. The area became infected and the woman died in her car, before the crash. What's the story with the doctor who performed the surgery? Dr. Woods finds the answers.
This was a decent show, not up the super ones in the last few weeks, but interesting enough. The ending message is mixed, which it shouldn't be.
