The Bank Heist

A team of robbers heist the First Monument Bank and Detective Cyrus Lockwood is shot and murdered. The team investigate the case and find that the thieves wanted a specific safety deposit box in the vault. Meanwhile the driver of the getaway van is found dead in the vehicle, Larry Whiting. He was a former valet of the Rampart Casino, owned by Sam Braun. When they find the name of the owner of the stolen box, Benny Murdock, and Catherine recognizes the name.

"Inside the Box" is the last episode of the Third Season of "CSI" with many revelations and surprises. The death of Det. Lockwood is very sad. The relationship between Catherine Willows and Sam Braun is disclosed in a sad moment. Grissom will finally submit to a surgery to try to fix his hearing problem. My vote is eight.

Power at Its Worst

I'm amazed no one has reviewed this episode before. We are presented with some really neat details in this one. It starts out with an armed robbery in a big bank where the perpetrators blow up safe deposit boxes and steal one box. Previously, a police officer tries to intervene and is killed. This brings the investigation to a new level, bringing to the fore some really bad dudes. Catherine needs to know what is going on because all roads point to her friend, the owner of a huge casino (we've met him before). He is a man of tremendous money and power. She ultimately comes to a realization that she hoped was not true. Meanwhile, Grissom finally knows that his hearing is compromising his job and takes, for him, dramatic action. This is a well constructed police drama, working in the principle characters and setting up the fourth season nicely.

Another nonsense episode

People say CSI went downhill after season 7 but in fact the show went downhill around Season 4 where every episode was more ridiculous than the one before. This is one of those episodes that didn't make an ounce of sense from beginning to the end. It's ridiculous on top of ridiculous multiplied by ridiculous. At this level it stops being a drama and starts being a cartoon.
