Stunning Ending
ccthemovieman-19 December 2006
Two young guys are seen breaking into a house. They discover it trashed already. They hear a siren, and run. The cops are waiting for them outside. The very next scenes show Gil and Warrick processing the home. A chair is shown up against a closet door under the knob. They open it and discover the mummified remains of an old lady. It's a gruesome sight. Someone had locked her in. The autopsy shows she was locked in the closet alive.

A second case has Catherine going to a home to retrieve a gun found in the backyard by a little boy. Investigation shows that it was the murder weapon in the case of a 42-year-old bounty hunter found dead recently. Warrick helps out on this one, too.

Finally, Nick and Sara get called to a breaking-and-entering. It's discovered the teen girl in the house was raped by two intruders. It also may be the same people who broke in the old lady's house. In fact, fingerprints confirm that.

The bounty hunter segment was very short but had the best ending. The other case - well, the ending was absolutely shocking, and that's not meant lightly. It left me stunned.

The last few minutes!

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The ending of this episode was shocking. I won't give away any details, but I certainly didn't expect that. Not one that I will forget right away.

Sad Episode
claudio_carvalho27 December 2022
Sad Episode The old woman Madeline Foster is found dead, locked in a wardrobe with a chair pushed up on the doorknob, entirely mummified. Grissom and Warrick assume the case and her nephew becomes the prime suspect. However, he is innocent. Meanwhile, Nick and Sara visit the Kirkwood home and the father, Michael, tells that it was a false alarm. However, his daughter Suzanna sneaks in the back seat of Sara's car and they go to the hospital, where she is submitted to a rape exam. The CSI team concludes that both cases are related since the same MO was used. When they find the suspect, Suzanna comes to the line-up but she tells to Capt. Brass and Sara that she has not identified the assaulter, but they note that she is afraid to point out who he is. Meanwhile, the disgraced bounty hunter Frank Maddox is found dead in a park and the murder weapon is found in the suburbs. Catherine and Det. O'Riley investigate the mysterious case.

"Homebodies" is a good, but sad episode of "CSI". The deaths the team is investigating are very sad. Imagine the despair of Madeline Foster trying to claw to escape from the locked closet. The rape first and the death of the virgin Suzanna is also heartbreaking. The viewer may understand the drama of that Michael and his family. Last but not the least, the suicide of Frank Maddox after falling in disgrace in his career is also a sad fate for a professional. My vote is eight.

Fear
Hitchcoc21 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Grissom talks about the power of fear. We all gravitate toward safety. In this case a couple of dangerous guys terrorize people with lightning attacks. An elderly woman is found locked in a closet, dead for weeks. Later a young girl is raped. Fear moves in. The second case involves the death of a bounty hunter, shot to death by a gun found far away from the scene. In the former, as others have said, the ending is indelible.
