Three victims. One is a young cop who is involved in a 200 mile relay race. It is his first time and he is a ringer for his team. The second has to do with a menage d toir. It's the "same time next year" thing where the husbands and wives left behind allow it to go on. There is also a robbery of an ATM where we probably find out for the first time how people get scammed by technology. Average episode.

The Police Marathon

During the police marathon in Las Vegas, Grissom sees a runner outside the road and drives his car to the place, leaving Catherine alone. He finds a police officer dead. Dr. Robbins find that the victim was in excellent shape, but he had ingested two substances that combined killed him. Meanwhile, Sara, Warrick and Det. Louis Vartann investigate the murder of officers Manny Senteno and Patricia Fielding in a hotel room. Warrick's first impression is that might be a murder-suicide case. Soon they find fingerprints of the police officer Lydia Lopez and learn that she was lodged in the next-door room. When they look inside the room, it is completely trashed. Lydia says that she had sex with a Manny once a year during the marathon and she believes that her husband Archie Lopez might have followed her and trashed her room, but would never kill Manny and Patricia.
"Dead Ringer" is an episode of "CSI" with the death of three police officers in two different cases. The first one is silly, based on an internal competition between two fellow officers. The second one is great and very well-resolved, with a wrong woman being the victim of an infidelity case. My vote is seven.

Another nonsensical episode that literally insults the intelligence of anyone who watches it. There were so many plot holes that you can clearly tell that writers are out of their game by now.
"Oh we found gun oil residue near the gun which proves that prints we found on the gun were planted"
How does finding gun oil residue prove that? It doesn't but writers had to use this type of leap of logic in order to move their story forward. Also how convenient that the ATM robber just happens to have a car accident right in front of the ATM he was robbing while CSI guy was investigating the area.
Season 4 of CSI is a total fail in every aspect you can think of. Not a single good episode in the entire season.
