Nancy Kovack's (Clio Vanita) last appearance on the series. She had played Darrin's wealthy former fiancée and Samantha's nemesis, 'Sheila Sommers', in two previous seasons, including the pilot episode.
Filming of scenes involving both Samantha and Serena were accomplished by using Melody McCord, Montgomery's stand-in on 18 episodes (uncredited). She also appeared as an actresses on four episodes (also uncredited), including the role of ' Sleeping Beauty' on Prince of a Guy (1968).
Ralph Helfer, the animal supervisor for this episode, is a notable American animal behaviorist, who built a training compound and a provider of animals for Hollywood called 'Africa U.S.A.'. Perhaps Helfer's most famous animal he trained was Zamba, who appeared in the MGM logo as Leo the Lion from 1957 to the present.
The end of the episode features a brief promotional statement encouraging the audience to tune in the following week for the conclusion to the storyline.
