Endora reads a magazine, entitled "Harpies Bizarre" - a play on the magazine 'Harper's Bazaar'.
This episode was completed along with the next five episodes on 11 September 1964. The episodes were all filmed previously with the rest of the cast, and Elizabeth Montgomery had just come back from maternity leave to fill in the spaces where Samantha should be.
First appearance in the series of Gladys and Abner Kravitz, as well as the house where the Stephenses would live throughout the series.
This is an important early episode. For the first time, "Witch's Honor" is invoked. Endora says it to Samantha; later, Endora purposely bungles Darrin's name for the first time: Dennis.
The allusion in the title is to "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home", a line taken from traditional American song by John Howard Payne using an English tune adapted from the Italian opera "Clari, Maid of Milan."
