The Dreams of Dylan McKay (#5.10)

This episode has an interesting idea but it doesn't work as well as it could for me.

We watch Dylan being taken to the hospital after the accident and there he is fighting for his life. And while he is fighting we are watching his dreams where we see all the good and the bad from his life coming. This was pretty interesting as they have everyone including his dad and the ones who robbed him. But I was bored most of the time and couldn't keep up. Also it is pretty irritating to see educated doctors talk abut "miracles", I felt like taking away their doctor licenses!.

Steve's story with his dad is a bit cheesy but alright for a small in between story.

The One Where Dylan's In A Coma...

Warning: Spoilers
I don't mind the episode. I don't love it, but I think that's mainly because it's centered around Dylan, who frankly, I don't really like or give a damn about. So, I think my non-caring attitude about him makes this episode not that amazing to me.

In this episode, Dylan practically puts himself in a coma after he got into a car accident, whilst driving when he was high on heroine. It was totally his fault, so I didn't even care that much. Anyway, he has strange dreams whilst in his coma, including special appearances from all sorts of people, like his drug dealer, his dead Father, the Walshes, and even his old principal, Mrs. Teasley. Meanwhile, Steve is super annoyed when his overbearing Dad comes to play in his fraternity's flag-football tournament.

Best part of the episode: Nothing in particular.

Worst part of the episode: Nothing in particular.

Overall, I give this episode a 5 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Okay.
