Harely comes into her own
Mr-Fusion4 February 2017
It's not every day that Arleen Sorkin gets to outshine Mark Hamill, but 'Harlequinade' is that rare opportunity. Desperate to disarm a bomb before the Joker drips it on Gotham, Batman springs Harley from Arkham to assist. The clash between the two - no-nonsense and hysterical - is an episode unto itself, but just those few minutes' worth gives Harley plenty of spotlight; and that's before the gangsters show up. Incidentally, I had to look up the voice for Boxy Bennett. Thought for sure that was Harvey Keitel - the resemblance is uncanny!

This is full of ironic humor and really mines the dysfunction between Harley and Joker for laughs. It's about time Harley got (part of) her own episode, and this is just what you'd expect.

Harley rules The show!
rasmus-714-7136478 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I'm just gotta say:

If someone is full of surprises for a series, IT's HARLEY!

-She goes to The stage and sing, just out of The blue. (One of The Best singing surprises ever!)

-She changes her sense of humour VERY many times (WOW, that's NOT how People's Usually do, how could you change your mind so fast?)

-And Well...

THIS IS HARLEY QUINN! Her show, her story, SHE OWNS IT ALL HERE!

You can't deny Harley, she is absolutely UNEXPECTED! If you want to know her, you should try to NOT know her, and The Joker, Batman and Robin always know what to do. She just want's to achieve The respect from someone outhere, but just never really get no matter what she does!

This episode is HARLEY QUINN

I can't explain, but...

HARLEQUINADE! :-)

Good, but there are better Joker episodes
Diamond_Dog712 April 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Joker gets a big atomic bomb (yikes!) and then kidnaps the mayor. He plans to destroy Gotham with the bomb and escape. But, does he rescue his faithful companion, Harley? She is out helping the Dark Knight because she doesn't want to go through with it whilst Joker is planning to escape in a plane. Can Batman stop him? This episode features Harley singing which is fairly enjoyable and there is some humour there too. This episode is enjoyable, but not the greatest joker episode out there, or Harley episode for that matter, my favourite Harley episode is "Harley & Ivy" but it is worth viewing to witness joker and Harley arguing and then immediately back together again and for the humour involved.

Hill Sinks--AND STINKS
osbornj-0021319 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hilarious episode until HamilDULL Hill barges in unwanted, univited, unnecessary, and nearly WRECKS it, terrible LETDOWN to see him--then ALWAYS was. The wet towel thrown in his face by the Joker was, hopefully, writer's sly slight at what he awfully ALWAYS was--more like A SOAKED, SODDEN, one couldn't ignite WITH A BLOWTORCH. At--very--least In SPITE of horrid, horrible, him episode recovers--barely--at the end. Dismaying disappointment of seeing him keeps this from the topflight of episodes. Makers knew--not--well by then that Hill was the character CATASTROPHE of the show, painfully plunged dullness to utterly unimaginable depths, that even actor dismally droning him sounded bored with his interminable indifferent intoning. NO episode was EVER the better for him in it, always THE WORST like here, lethargic, listless, EVEN IN DANGER, should have drowned in pool been well RID of him, though could have been dredged up, dumped, drenched, in Mayor's chair and NO would would have noticed, STIFF in life, Week-end at Bernie's IN CITY HALL (Mayor, IF you approve this, Gotham will be bankrupted, destroyed." Hill sits SILENT in chair. "All right." "But he didn't SAY anything." "Well, he didn't say NO, did he?"). It was illogical, irresponsible, to continue to INFLICT him on the viewer, blinded by his title to his badness. He and that whimpering worm of sap son in terrible top hat had made Be A Clown the UNWATCHABLE episode of series, CRINGE-causing, and Hill characteristically created where others did Riddler, Clay Face, Two Face, Man Bat, series DULLEST enemy, his duplicate in dreariness TempDULL Fugate. It may have been because of THIS near disaster they FINALLY realized it, why Summer Gleeson was tenuously, but THANKFULLY, tacked on later to Lock-Up to also get kidnapped, while Batman saves hostages she saved episode FROM HILL. completely CRUSHING him in competing kidnap scenes. . She should have done the SAME here, pounding on Mayor's door, "Come out Hill, you can't hide in there! SOMETHING'S going on the public has the RIGHT to know." Door opens she finds out WHAT--Joker and his hyenas, drooling, giggling, "Well, October but still feels LIKE SUMMER." He ties her up with A-Bomb, she S-C-R-E-A-M-I-N-G at pitch had hyenas, cringing, whimpering, Joker finally gagging her, "Sorry, music to MY ears but their's are starting TO BLEED. But, look on the BRIGHT side. You'll go out knowing no one in the history of television will be SO remembered for bombing THAN YOU." Then, helping the hilarity, SHE should been to fall into pool surfacing like red Cousin It from the Addams Family, stumbling blind into oncoming crashing Joker plane, Batman diving to get her out of the way. It would have been under THESE circumstances actually WORTH having Hill TO BROUGHT SUMMER IN. Meantime meanly Hill should have begged Joker for his life, offering him City treasury--STOLE IT, figuring he was going to blow up Gotham, has plane for Brazil waiting--AND his whimpering worm son--WENT CRAZY FROM MEETING THE JOKER, STUCK IN ARKHAM, said NEVER liked him, just PRETENDED to care when he ran off with Joker, danced disgusted with him when returned because he knew Batman was watching, Summer tied up beside him, angry, "Don't try running for Father of the Year!" "What's it pay?" Hill asks,. Joker speechless for FIRST time in life, doesn't push button. After Joker and Harley caught, Hill claims to Batman, Robin, Gordon, Summer, police, press, just BLUFFING the Joker for time saving Gotham--then Bullock runs from mansion, "Dere's crates crammed wid cash in dere," City flunky arrives with flight plans for Brazil, Arkham staff wheels up worm, strapped in strait jacket to dolly like Hannibal Lechter, Joker grin, STILL that terrible top hat. Hill, "I don't suppose that Father of the Year job is STILL open?"
