Quotes
-
Terry McGinnis : And when I went back to the cellar, the doctor was gone. I guess I shoulda spent more time looking for him, but my heart wasn't in it.
Bruce Wayne : I understand. What about April and Bullwhip?
Terry McGinnis : Gone, too. Both of 'em.
Bruce Wayne : They'll be back. They always come back. Tell me something, though. Does Bullwhip know that the doctor saw him with April?
Terry McGinnis : No way. By the time he came out of the town house, I'd already put the doctor in the cellar.
Bruce Wayne : Then maybe Bullwhip won't becoming back.
Terry McGinnis : Why do you say that?
-
Bruce Wayne : This might help you. Remember when I said there was something odd about the servo? It was a cutoff circuit.
Terry McGinnis : Yeah, I know. It's a fail-safe switch.
Bruce Wayne : But did you know it's voice acctivated?
Terry McGinnis : So, that's how you stop them. Some kind of code freeze. Any idea what it is?
Bruce Wayne : It would have to be something not likely to be heard in casual conversation. And it's probably words that have special significance to the doctor.
Terry McGinnis : That's the best you can do?
Bruce Wayne : I'm only human.
Terry McGinnis : I keep forgetting.
-
Terry McGinnis : This is what an idiot looks like, Max. I let him trick me, and then while I was out, he moved his whole operation. I'm never gonna find him.
Max : Ter, you're forgetting something. While you were unconscious, he had a perfect chance to get rid of you for good, but he didn't. What's that tell you?
Terry McGinnis : That... that maybe he's not such a bad guy after all.
-
Terry McGinnis : Looks like the servo motors in my costume.
Bruce Wayne : Exactly like them. I bought yours years ago from a doctor who specialized in prosthetics for people who'd lost limbs. His name was Peter Corso, and this is definitely one of his.
Terry McGinnis : Looks like the good doctor isn't so good anymore.
Bruce Wayne : I'm gonna do some tests on this motor. There's something odd about the circuitry. And I suggest you go make a house call.
-
Batman : April. And there's the moon in the background. Like that old song, "April Moon".
Dr. Corso : Yeah. It was our song.
Batman : Any idea where they're keeping her?
Dr. Corso : None.
Batman : I can understand how you feel, but to let those monsters loose... there's no way to stop 'em.
Dr. Corso : Oh, yes, there is. I slipped fail-safe devices into all four of them. Once I get April back, I'm going to activate them. With relish.
Batman : Fail-safe devices? How would you get close enough to switch 'em on?
Dr. Corso : They're not activated by switches.
Batman : What, then?
Dr. Corso : I'm not gonna tell you. I don't want you risking April's life in some crazy rescue attempt.
-
Dr. Corso : They're gonna kill her now. They're gonna kill her.
Batman : Who? Who are they gonna kill?
Dr. Corso : My wife. It's the truth! Why else do you think I'd be helping those punks?
Batman : [taking a photograph] This her?
Dr. Corso : Yes. April. April changed my whole life. Have you ever met anyone like that?
