The footage of the yellow Jaguar being pushed into a canyon has been used multiple times. It appeared in Murder Once Removed (1975). It appears again in The Greenhouse Jungle (1972), which also starred Bradford Dillman.

Goofs
About 22 minutes in, a woman (Teri Garr) has Barnaby Jones in her apartment balcony, several floors up. There, he questions her while she is on a reclining bench, working out with dumbbells. After several questions and replies back and forth, she finally asks him "who are you?". It makes no sense that a single woman wearing body tight Lycra would open her residence door for a man she doesn't know, let him in without asking who he is or what he wants, guide him across her apartment into the precipitous balcony, then proceed to exercise supine with him within inches of her body.

A rare,good episode of a mostly weak tv series..

I like Buddy Ebson. I like cop/detective shows. However,this tv series is almost always pretty bad,in my opinion. This episode,however, breaks the mold. It is a good,engaging show for a change! The cast has some well-known actors (for a change) and the show actually has some life and excitement in it ! I almost could not believe it was an episode of Barnaby Jones,in fact. Good episode.
