Season five for Babylon 5 was, generally speaking, a disappointment. As the Shadows AND the Earth had been defeated, there were no enemies when the season began and the episodes just seemed to be in limbo--probably because originally there wasn't even supposed to be a fifth season.

Despite all this, this is a pretty decent episode and for fans of old B-movies, it's a chance to once again see the elderly Turhan Bey. In the 1940s, Bey was an actor in great demand in action/adventure films, such as the Falcon series, mummy movies and films set in ancient Arabia. However, since the early 1950s, he's been only been seen as an occasional guest star on various TV shows. As a fan of Classic Hollywood, I was excited to see this venerable actor once again.

The episode is about the Rangers being pulled into a power struggle on Babylon 5. A new and arrogant mobster is aboard and wants to make a statement that he is in charge of the station so he wants to kill or severely injure someone to make this statement. A Ranger just happens to be the victim and while not killed, he is nearly killed by this guy and his flunkies. How the Ranger deals with this beating and how the menace to the station is the major theme of the show. While not a great episode (since it did nothing to further the overall plot of the series), compared the the generally poor episodes this season, it's worth seeing.
