When Ivanova and Lorien wait to meet the last of the First Ones the exterior view of space is of the cloud of gas and stellar dust known as The Pillars of Creation. This image of the Eagle Nebula was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope on April 1st, 1995, about two years before this episode aired.
Captain Sheridan's line "Now get the hell out of our galaxy!" was later one of the phrases featured in the opening sequence of Season Five.
