According to the Babylon 5 time-line, it is during this time that Catherine Sakai (Commander Sinclair's fiancée) returns to Babylon 5 and learns of Sinclair's reassignment. She then goes to Minbar, and eventually becomes a Ranger.
The aliens who kidnap Sheridan are called the Streibs, after novelist Whitley Strieber. The aliens in the show look just like the ones he describes in his book, 'Communion'.
Captain Sheridan misquotes Archimedes, discoverer of the principles of leverage. Sheridan says, "Give me a lever big enough and I will move the world." What Archimedes actually said was, "Give me a lever and a place to stand and I will move the earth."
This episode marks the first appearance of Marshall Teague's Narn character Ta'Lon. Even though he only appeared in a handful of episodes, the common respect and friendship between his character and captain John Sheridan was considered by fans a subtle but high point of the series.
