Priceless Barney!
rgxdzrybr20 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Floyd gets an offer that's too good to be true. I am a little surprised Andy wasn't more suspicious but then he actually learns from Aunt Bee who learned from Sarah what's really going on. Sarah and Aunt Bee don't understand it but they give Andy all the information he needs. I really love the conversation Aunt Bee and Andy have about gossip and the peculiar facts clue Andy in.

Don Knotts does a great job here dressing up as a little old lady to get expose the gambling ring going on in the barbershop 💈. The things he tells them about the daughter in law are hilarious! In the end it actually works. The end shows Floyd is as naive as Aunt Bee and Sarah are . Funny lighthearted episode.

Stupid Criminals

This is Floyd's big opportunity. A man offers to join him in the barber shop where too much work is getting him down. But after Floyd agrees to the new situation a bunch of thugs move in and daily use his shop as a bookie joint. The interesting thing is that they could have been so much less obvious. I noticed, by the way, that Barney in drag looked a lot like Mick Jagger of the Stones.

Fun for Grownups Warning: Spoilers
You might have to figure a way to explain betting and illegal betting to the young'ns in the family. This is a very entertaining episode with Barney and Aunt Bee at the top of their game. Loved the exchange between Bee and Andy about gossip; especially as it develops into her unwittingly giving Andy the information he needs to conclude that there's an illegal gambling operation being run out of Floyd's barber shop. Barney is just as good impersonating a dowdy older woman wating to place a bet. Really good all the way around.

Barney & Floyd Make This One
AudioFileZ15 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is a fun clueless nervous Floyd and outrageous Barney centric episode. Floyd's dream of a two-chair shop falls in his lap. But his new barber hardly cuts hair, although he does facials. Lol! That strangeness aside, Sara listens in to some phone calls which go through Aunt Bee into Andy's ear. Andy, already noticing the new customers are in and out way too regular adds up to a front for a bookie operation moving in to Lawson's Barber Shop. Sharing that info to Barney while Andy had to be out was, of course, too tempting for Barney to break the case wide open. Barney in drag is comedic gold as he plays an old lady wanting to play the horses so he can crack the case. Totally a gem for Barney's knack for accidentally catching the crooks...with some saving grace by a just in time bit of help from Andy.

No agreement on Medwin's commission

Barney tells Andy about his scheme saying they don't know what he looks like. But he recently was face-tn-face with the facial customer. Andy & Barney apprehend the crooks with no guns. Andy even has his back to one after Barney is freed. Best line is the ugly face like a fist facial customer walking out and Barney says, "I'd hate to see him when he came in".

BUNGLING BARNEY STRIKES AGAIN!
JSGal23 May 2021
Can this guy get any dumber? Barney once again ignores Andy's orders and attempts to go undercover dressed as a woman to nab some bookies using Floyd's Barbershop as a cover. Just when I think Barney can't get any dumber, he does it again!
