The man who builds world-ships
Tweekums26 July 2018
This episode sees Andromeda sent on a mission without being told about the dangers they are likely to face. Soon after a particularly rough exit from slipstream Andromeda is trapped in a gravity field projected from a moon. The moon is the base for a human-android hybrid called Kroton. He is the inventor responsible for the creation of the Magog world-ship. While Trance stays in command of Andromeda, Dylan, Rommie, Beka and Harper head to the moon aboard the Eureka Maru. Here they are rather surprised to run into Molly Noguchi, an old friend of Dylan previously seen in the episode 'Love and Rocket'. In order to save Andromeda they must split into two parties and destroy two devices at the same time. Inevitably they also run into Kroton and his various weapon systems which make the task even harder.

This episode is decent enough although this season is in danger of getting a little repetitive as so far each episode has involved the crew facing another villain linked to the Spirit of the Abyss. That said there is plenty of action and it was nice to see Kristin Lehman return as Molly Noguchi. Kroton was a fairly standard megalomaniac villain with a desire to wipe out organic life who lacked the charisma of the villains in the previous two episodes. The story has a pretty good resolution; which I won't spoil here. Overall not a bad episode; not a classic either though.
