Tyra Destiny
morn196028 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
One could see it coming from the first episode. Tyr was a narcissist and a bully. No one mattered but his hopes and dreams. Why he was even on the crew is beyond me because it was plain what would happen.

As with most of the third season this episode was disappointing, the script writers were trying to make a space/comedy/adventure and failed throughout.

Tyrs betrayal was never in doubt I only wish that they had written better scripts and not tried to make Dylan Hunt another James T Kirk because they failed. They also failed in trying to model it after Farscape because again they failed.

I don't even understand why I'm still watching, probably boredom.

Tyr shows his true colours
Tweekums21 July 2018
Something is happening amongst the Nietzschean prides; those that joined the commonwealth are leaving and old enemies appear to be coming together. Dylan doesn't really have time to process this news as a group of Nietzschean manage to board the Andromeda and take a hostage. They demand that Dylan hands over the bones of Drago Museveni and control of the Eureka Maru. Ultimately they get away with what they want and Andromeda gives pursuit; they catch up but soon realise they are in Drago-Kazov space; not only that Tyr leaves to join the Nietzcheans and they discover Andromeda has been sabotaged. Things will get worse before the episode is over... much worse.

This was a really fine episode with plenty of action and twists upon twists. The previous episode very strongly suggested that Tyr was up to no good and this one makes it just how devious he has been. While this inevitably sets him against his old shipmates he still isn't obviously bad; he just has other ideas about how to make the universe a better place. I just hope it doesn't mean Tyr will be leaving the series soon as he is one of its best characters thanks to his ambiguous nature and Keith Hamilton Cobb's excellent performance; as I said in a previous review he brings an almost Shakespearean eloquence to the role. The action is impressive with shootouts and a major space battle. Overall an impressive season finale that left me keen to learn what happens next.
