After a difficult visit to an inhospitable planet an unwanted guest is found aboard the Eureka Maru; it is some sort of metal eating creature that quickly leaves the Maru out of control. They are successfully rescued by Andromeda but attempts to quarantine the Maru fail almost immediately. Soon systems start to fail then Harper is convinced that he has seen a ghost! The others mock him but it isn't long before others see it too... is it really a ghost, is it connected to the alien creature they picked up or is it something else?
This episode started well with Dylan being shaken around as the Maru is battered by a solar storm and Harper and Beka are on an inhospitable planet. Things get even better when they, along with the metal eating alien are picked up. There is excitement, first aboard the Maru the aboard Andromeda. Then we get hints that the creature has got dangerously bigger; scary shadows followed by the sight of a twisted barbell. The introduction to the 'ghost' is intriguing as the crew, and viewers, speculate on what it might be... unfortunately the explanation wasn't really to my liking; it wasn't bad just as good as I'd expected. Sadly to discuss that further would spoil the episode's main reveal so I won't go into details. Overall not a bad episode, just not as good as I thought it would be.
