Move along, nothing to see here

Although this episode isn't as bad or as painful as I imagined, it still wasn't that good, as the show was begging to be put to sleep permanently. I would avoid most episodes after 1977, including this one. To be fair with an honest review, I'll mention that the plot revolves around an insurance company representative, played by a familiar face in Phil Leeds, as he tells Archie the bad news that the doctors "could have" found a spot on Archie's liver, even though we find out later it was only acid. What happens before then has him both depressed and then overly nice, mainly to Edith. I was frustrated that he never tells her the "supposed" bad news, as she finds out from Barney, played by Allen Melvin. I thought it was stupid to hide this from her in the first place, even though it's obvious he's worried about something. The minor plot with Archie forgetting Stephanie's name seemed very stale to me, as he mentions this about 3 times within a minute or 2. There's not many funny lines to comment on, and it's sad to watch this great show struggle for relevancy anymore when the time should've been up a few years back.
