It's a funny thing with 'Steel Horses'; because of the locations featured herein and the rock music score, this has the least Western vibe thus far. There's almost a look about this one, and the winds of Southern California (must be fire season) that just make me think early '90s above all else. But on the other hand, it's also a fun one, and it's brimming with the show's signature spirit. That overrides any negative I can say about it.

Except for the guy playing Juno Dawkins. I dunno whether it's the dialog or the the actor himself, but he doesn't fit for me. Easily the most forgettable of Bly's game we've seen.

The future looms large over this episode, between the motorcycle, and the interrogation scene (I liked the good-cop/bad-cop gag). Brisco's always going on about "the coming thing" and the story here takes that to heart. And even though you know Brisco and Bowler aren't going to get killed so early in the show, it's still fun to see how they escape a rolling fireball after being doused in petrol.
