- GoofsWhen Bud is drilling Lou and 3 other soldiers there's another group further back also drilling and another soldier walking up the sidewalk. As the group in the back is marching towards Bud and Lou the soldier on the sidewalk is ahead of the second group and he stops when he comes to the end of the building on the right. Then there's a closer up view of Bud and Lou's group and the sidewalk guy is back again walking up only now he's further back from the second group still advancing. As the second group gets closer they turn and march to the right disappearing between the two buildings and the sidewalk guy does an about face. Then the film jumps and the sidewalk guy has disappeared completely while the second group is marching back from between the buildings.

Bud and Lou receive a letter to report to Army headquarters, their applications accepted. Mr. Fields wants his 13 weeks back rent, but they only have a fraction, leading to Lou performing the comical "7 X 13 = 28" routine. After some snappy lines, they pass their physicals.
