Hollywood agent Sheldon Blair hires Stuart for the period of the upcoming second annual Hollywood Film Festival. At last year's Festival, astrologer John Keith, who has his own newspaper column, predicted violence would beset the event, one of Shelley's clients, actress Joan Huntley, who ended up dying, her fall which was never officially ruled accidental, suicide or murder in if she was pushed. The notoriety of her death actually increased interest in her movie following the Festival. Keith has again predicted violence at this year's Festival, he going one step further in naming six of Shelley's clients, all vastly different from each other besides sharing the same profession, as those that will face that violence. One of those six, media hound starlet Sprite Simpson, just out of high school, has already had a close call at a pre-Festival publicity event. With six names, Stuart assigns each of the six agency staff, including himself, to shadow one of the six at Festival events. While all twelve have their own views of astrology and Keith's prediction, Stuart, not at all believing in astrology, still has figure out if Keith is working on probabilities in making his broad claim, or if there is something more sinister and calculated in his prediction.
