  Audrey Raines : A couple hours ago, when we thought Paul was somehow involved in the attacks, Jack questioned him and Paul has his pride: resisted

  James Heller : Jack was pretty rough

  Audrey Raines : Very

  James Heller : That's his job, he had to make sure. You have to believe Jack had no choice

  Audrey Raines : I know, I guess it was just a shock to see it. Somehow he seemed like a different person

  James Heller : We need people like that

  Audrey Raines : Jack is an incredible man

  James Heller : But you're not sure you feel the same way as you did before?

  Audrey Raines : Something like that

• Audrey Raines : [Walking over to his station]  Michelle said you were doing a search on possible ties to Marwan, may I help?

  Tony Almeida : Do you have a sign on for the Sakai server?

  Audrey Raines : In Washington?

  Tony Almeida : Yeah, we're saving time if I could use it on this search

  Audrey Raines : [after typing on his computer]  there you go

  Tony Almeida : This should kick off a few names: you can help me write them down when it's done searching

  Audrey Raines : Ok great

  Tony Almeida : So, did you tell Michelle what happened today?

  Audrey Raines : I said Jack called you

  Tony Almeida : Anything else?

  Audrey Raines : Well, I didn't say you were living with anyone if that's what you mean

  Tony Almeida : She probably already knows that and I'm sure she can probably care less. So how are you and Jack "ferrying" with him out in the field today?

  Audrey Raines : It's different: a lot different than Washington

  Tony Almeida : Yeah it is a lot different. To tell you the truth, I couldn't believe it when I heard had taken a desk job in DC

  Audrey Raines : He said he was happier this way

  Tony Almeida : Uh huh. Well, you got to see him in both worlds today, you think he'll go back to wearing a suit?

  Audrey Raines : After the hell Jack's been through today, you think he'd want to come back to this?

  Tony Almeida : Some people are more comfortable in hell

  Audrey Raines : Are you talking about Jack? Or yourself?

  Curtis Manning : No, once the pulse bomb went off, we lost all communication with them

  Audrey Raines : What was the last word from them?

  Curtis Manning : Jack and Paul found something: it seems it must've been incriminating McLennan-Forrester

  Audrey Raines : That's why they set off the EMP? To destroy the evidence?

  Curtis Manning : That'd be my guess

  Audrey Raines : It just doesn't make sense, the fact that McLennan-Forrester is taking aggressive action is evidence against them

  Curtis Manning : Yeah, but it's not proof

  Audrey Raines : [Walking over to him to talk more privately]  could Jack or Paul have been injured from the detonation?

  Curtis Manning : No, any EMP only damages electronics but it doesn't mean they're safe

• Audrey Raines : [after she overheard them arguing]  is there a problem with Agent Almeida?

  Michelle Dessler : Not at all

  Audrey Raines : It's just that Secretary Heller is very "sensitive" to personal conflicts on the job. I know your history, I know you guys were married and he sacrificed his career to save your life but if this is going to be a problem...

  Michelle Dessler : [Interrupts her]  his being here won't affect my work, I won't let it: if Secretary Heller wants to speak to me about it, I'll be more than glad to
