- Michelle Dessler: These images were taken around the time the pilot reported the explosion
- George Mason: God, they were shot down?
- Michelle Dessler: Yeah, some kind of ground to air missile
- George Mason: Compile a list of anyone who might had access to their flight plan
- Michelle Dessler: OK
- George Mason: I think it's safe to assume that whoever it was doesn't want us to find the nuke and if Nina didn't die in the crash their probably going to want to finish the job
- Michelle Dessler: I have Search and Rescue scrambled now
- George Mason: Make sure their well armed and get me their ETA as soon as you have it
- Sherry Palmer: [Over the phone] no, Karen that does me no good. Ron Wieland has a source inside this administration and I need to know who. Fine, get to me with that
- Sherry Palmer: [to David after he walks in and turns off the television] what's going on?
- President David Palmer: You tell me
- Sherry Palmer: What does that mean?
- President David Palmer: Ron Wieland's been contained for six hours: ten minutes after you met with him, someone let him out
- Sherry Palmer: And you think it was me? Even if I had the resources which I don't, why in God's name would I want Ron Wieland to cause a panic, especially today?
- President David Palmer: I don't know
- Sherry Palmer: I had nothing to do with this. I swear on the lives of our children
- President David Palmer: Find Armus yet? I want to know how Wieland got pass him
- Mike Novick: [while taking out a lab top] take a look
- President David Palmer: What's this?
- Mike Novick: Digital feedback from the surveillance at the OC
- President David Palmer: [while watching a video file] that's Armus
- Mike Novick: That happened twenty-five minutes ago
- President David Palmer: Armus let him out?
- Mike Novick: Yeah
- President David Palmer: Where is he now?
- Mike Novick: We haven't found him yet: Mr. President if Armus is working covertly against you...
- President David Palmer: [Interrupts him, raises his voice] it's not "covert" now, it's in my face
- Mike Novick: We will find him Sir
- President David Palmer: We better because whomever his working for is keeping me from finding this bomb
- President David Palmer: I owe you an apology
- Sherry Palmer: Why? What did Mike say to you?
- President David Palmer: Richard Armus is the one who let Wieland go
- Sherry Palmer: But Armus doesn't have his own agenda: he must be working for someone else
- President David Palmer: We're looking into that now. I'm sorry I jumped to the wrong conclusion
- Sherry Palmer: It's alright, I don't expect you to change your attitude towards me overnight. Apology accepted, what're you going to do?
- President David Palmer: Talk to the press. I'm not sure how, I may have to go after Ron's creditability
- Sherry Palmer: Ron's creditability?
- President David Palmer: Yes, make it look like his report was motivated by "personal dislike", that's not based on fact
- Sherry Palmer: Yes but it is based on fact
- President David Palmer: Believe me, I wish there was another way
- Sherry Palmer: Maybe there is. Why don't you just tell the truth? It's what you do best. I mean you pulled it off with Keith: our divorce. You've earned the public's trust. Just use it
- President David Palmer: I'm just wondering if you've really changed or just gotten good at pretending
- Tony Almeida: [while catching up to him in the hallway] Richards told me you had Warner and Naiyeer transferred to room seven
- George Mason: That's right
- Tony Almeida: Well, I had them separated for a reason
- George Mason: Yeah I told you to, and it's not working. So let's put them together and let them play off each other alright?
- Tony Almeida: I don't get you: one minute your running away to save your own ass, next minute your back here and act as if you give a damn about anything but yourself
- George Mason: Back off
- Tony Almeida: No, I'm not going to back off. Not today. Now what's going on?
- George Mason: Remember the warehouse in Panorama City? Weapons grade plutonium, airborne fire fight?
- Tony Almeida: You were exposed?
- George Mason: Yeah, so I'll be lucky if I make it through tomorrow
- Tony Almeida: I don't know what to say. I'm sorry. Does anyone else know about this?
- George Mason: [Shaking his head] just Jack and you. I want to keep it that way
- Tony Almeida: Do you need anything? Something I can do?
- George Mason: Just do your job and let me do mine
- George Mason: [after entering the interrogation room] so you're both claiming not to know Syed Ali is that it?
- Reza Naiyeer: It's not a "claim", it's the truth
- George Mason: Sit down
- Reza Naiyeer: I'd rather stand
- George Mason: [Raises his voice] sit down!
- George Mason: [Grabs him and forces him into a chair, yelling] where the hell do you think you are? Wake up. Six hours ago a cast of weapons grade plutonium was found in a warehouse in Panorama City. We believe a nuclear bomb was assembled there and it's set to go off sometime today
- Reza Naiyeer: Nuclear bomb?
- George Mason: [while taking out a piece of paper] we also found this in the warehouse, what'd you think of that guys?
- Bob Warner: This is a Bill of Lading from our company
- George Mason: For a container sent to Syed Ali which means at least one of you is lying right now. Now I'll you two work that out between yourselves. Whoever talks first: gets immunity. It's a one-time offer and it expires in ten minutes
- Reza Naiyeer: [while in the interrogation room as Tony and George monitoring] this is crazy: how could they keep us here without letting us see a lawyer? What're we going to do?
- Bob Warner: Nothing. Because nothing we say will make any difference, they'll find a way to make it look like we're involved
- Reza Naiyeer: Nuclear bomb? I haven't done anything wrong! This is crazy I have nothing to hide. What about you Bob?
- Bob Warner: What about me?
- Reza Naiyeer: You got anything to hide?
- Bob Warner: Of course not
- Reza Naiyeer: No?
- Bob Warner: No
- Reza Naiyeer: You're the one who made the authorization to Ali
- Bob Warner: No, I didn't
- Reza Naiyeer: Then who did?
- Bob Warner: Don't interrogate me. That's exactly what they want
- Reza Naiyeer: Yeah well I'm not asking for them. If you didn't make the authorization then who did? They also said you work for the CIA
- Bob Warner: I met with the CIA to pass information through our distribution network a couple times. That's it
- Reza Naiyeer: Why didn't you tell me?
- Bob Warner: Because it is none of your concern
- Reza Naiyeer: Well I think it concerns me now! I think a nuclear bomb pretty much concerns everyone don't you? You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking all your generosity, and acceptance is just a load of crap
- Bob Warner: Sit down and shut up before you say something you'll regret for the rest of your life
- Reza Naiyeer: [to bob] you lied to me
- Reza Naiyeer: [to the surveillance camera knowing Tony and George are watching] I can track the shipping order. Bob's code signature will show that he authorized the transaction order
- Reza Naiyeer: [to George as he enters the integration room] the database is at the office. I'll take you there. I'm not taking the fall for you Bob
- Michelle Dessler: Hey, where's George?
- Tony Almeida: His not here: he broke
- Michelle Dessler: Look, he wanted an ETA on the search and rescue could you tell him they're about twelve minutes away from the crash site?
- Tony Almeida: OK
- Michelle Dessler: What's going on with George?
- Tony Almeida: As far as what?
- Michelle Dessler: His sick isn't he? His got some kind of radiation poisoning doesn't he?
- Tony Almeida: Where'd you get that?
- Michelle Dessler: Hazmat was all over the warehouse he raided this morning so it's got to be "hot" right? I was just working with him and his nose started bleeding. That's after someone told he was throwing up in the bathroom and it doesn't take a doctor to figure it out. Besides I can read your face pretty well by now
- Tony Almeida: Look, he doesn't want anybody else to know ok?
- Michelle Dessler: How bad?
- Tony Almeida: Pretty bad
- Michelle Dessler: Can he run things on his condition?
- Tony Almeida: Yeah I think so
- Michelle Dessler: No, that's not good enough. I mean I feel bad for him but if his compromised physically or mentally we can't...
- Tony Almeida: [Interrupts her] he can do his job. He wants to do his job like I've never seen before. His determined to stop this bomb
- Michelle Dessler: Yeah so am I which is why I think he should step down
- Tony Almeida: Look, I'll keep an eye on him. The second he loses his step I'll make sure he packs up
- Michelle Dessler: No you have enough to do without having to babysit him
- Tony Almeida: I'm not "babysitting", you've got to trust me on this
- Sherry Palmer: [while handing her a file folder] I made some notes on David's speech: I thought you may want to incorporate them
- Lynne Kresge: How did you get that? I didn't even show it to the President yet
- Sherry Palmer: Jenny showed me a copy
- Lynne Kresge: Well, she shouldn't have
- Sherry Palmer: She's known me for a long time. She knows what I have to offer
- Lynne Kresge: The President believes you can be an asset to him during this time of crisis. That is why you are here, he did not however give you license to insinuate yourself...
- Sherry Palmer: [Interrupts her] wait hold it. I am not here to trespass on your territory. I am here to help, that is why I am coming to you first before I go directly to David
- Lynne Kresge: That sounds like a threat me
- Sherry Palmer: Unless David's speech is pitch perfect which right now it is not, Ron Wieland's allegation might bring down this Presidency
- Lynne Kresge: I don't need you to tell me how important his speech is...
- Sherry Palmer: [Interrupts her before throwing the file folder on the floor] then you owe it to David to look at my revisions
- Marie Warner: [while hugging] are you alright?
- Reza Naiyeer: I'm fine
- Marie Warner: What did they do to you?
- Reza Naiyeer: They just asked me a few questions. Everything's fine
- Marie Warner: Are you sure?
- Reza Naiyeer: Yes
- Marie Warner: Larry's on his way with a criminal lawyer: Alex Holdsman, his suppose to be one of the top guys in the city
- Reza Naiyeer: I'm not going to need a lawyer. But your father might
- Marie Warner: I don't understand. What's going on?
- Reza Naiyeer: Your father, I think he might have something to do with Syed Ali
- Marie Warner: My father?
- Reza Naiyeer: [Nods] he tried to use me
- Marie Warner: Used you how?
- Reza Naiyeer: To do business with Ali who they say is part of this terrorist group
- Marie Warner: My father part of a terrorist group?
- Reza Naiyeer: They have proof. Sweetheart, they have these transactions connecting one of us to Ali and I know I didn't write it. I'm sorry to put you in this impossible situation. I love you and I want to be with you but right now something really bad might happen if I don't help them
- Marie Warner: After everything he's done for you, you turn on my father?
- Reza Naiyeer: He turned on me. He turned on us. What else was I suppose to do?
- President David Palmer: [to Mike, referring to Nina Meyers calling over the speakerphone] you should talk to her first. I don't want to give her access to me until she gives me something in return
- Mike Novick: Ms. Meyers, this is Mike Novick, the President's Chief of Staff
- Nina Myers: [while pointing a rifle at Jack] I asked to speak to the President
- Mike Novick: His not available
- Nina Myers: Do you want to stop this nuclear bomb or not?
- Mike Novick: Of course we do
- Nina Myers: Then put the President on
- Mike Novick: I'm authorized to negotiate on his behalf
- Nina Myers: What I want is non-negotiable
- Mike Novick: What do you want?
- Nina Myers: I'll tell you where the bomb is in exchange for immunity
- Mike Novick: The President's already granted you total pardon
- Nina Myers: Except this is for a crime I have not committed yet
- Mike Novick: What crime?
- Nina Myers: The murder of Jack Bauer: add that to my pardon and I'll tell you where the bomb is
- Mike Novick: And if we don't comply?
- Jack Bauer: [With his hands on his head] you don't have a choice
- Mike Novick: Is that you Mr. Bauer?
- Jack Bauer: Yes, please tell the President I believe he doesn't have any other choice but to accept her deal
- President David Palmer: Is CTU on the secure line?
- George Mason: Yes Sir, this is George Mason. I'm on a designated channel also with Michelle Dessler and Tony Almeida
- President David Palmer: Do you have any alternative to what she's asking? Any weaknesses are we able to exploit?
- George Mason: None. She's a survivor, she knows Bauer. She knows if she doesn't kill him now, he'll hunt her down and find her later
- President David Palmer: So in your assessment, Nina Meyers is our best chance to stopping this bomb?
- George Mason: Sir, she may be our only chance
- President David Palmer: Ms. Meyers, this is President Palmer
- Nina Myers: I'm listening
- President David Palmer: Is Jack Bauer There?
- Jack Bauer: Yes Mr. President I'm here too
- President David Palmer: Ms. Meyers, if the information you provide culminates in the successful interception of the nuclear device, you'll get everything you asked for. You will be pardoned in advance for the murder of Jack Bauer
- Nina Myers: I can live with that
- Jack Bauer: Start talking Nina
- Nina Myers: The bomb will be detonated by a man named Syed Ali
- George Mason: We know about Ali. We need to know where he is
- Nina Myers: His in a house in Chatsworth on Starling Court. Eighteen Starling Court
- George Mason: [to Tony sitting nearby] contact local law enforcement, have them set up a perimeter
- Tony Almeida: Alright
- George Mason: [to Michelle] coordinate among the relevant agencies
- President David Palmer: Ms. Meyers, you are not to take any action until we put our hands on this bomb
- Nina Myers: Agreed
- President David Palmer: Jack?
- Jack Bauer: Yes Sir
- President David Palmer: Is there anything you want me to do?
- Jack Bauer: Please make sure my daughter is safe Sir. Tell her that I love her
- President David Palmer: I'll do that
- Jack Bauer: Thank you Mr. President
- President David Palmer: Jack...
- Jack Bauer: Mr. President, please you don't need to say anything Sir. There's only one right choice to make and you've made it
- President David Palmer: [Before hanging up] I'm sorry Jack
