The fashion designer rushed the stage to help Mel C sing the Spice Girls’ hit, “2 Become 1.” Several audience members caught the rare moment on their cameras, posting clips online.
“Candle light and soul forever,” Mel C, whose full name is Melanie Chisholm, captioned a pic with Beckham on Instagram. “A wonderful start to 2017.”
The British singer also shared a solo shot on stage, writing, “Happy New Year y’all! 2017 let’s ‘ave it #loveanewyearsgig.”

Sony has commissioned a script for a follow up to the 2010 film which showed Jolie as Evelyn Salt, a woman accused of being a Russian sleeper agent who goes on the run to try to clear her name. Salt was released on July 23rd, 2010, and met with mixed -- though generally favorable -- reviews but financial success. Sony participated in a last minute marketing blitz for the film which included a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22nd and an episodic adver-game titled "Day X Exists", where players watched webisodes and performed missions to unveil a terrorist plot. The film starred Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor and told the story of CIA agent Evelyn Salt, who goes on the run after a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Word has now come out that Sony...

Nathan Mayfield, co-founder of Emmy-winning Brisbane-based transmedia company Hoodlum, warns screen creatives not to emulate TV formats and storytelling when working on cross-platform projects.
“Don’t try to emulate TV across those platforms, but emulate audience behaviour. Using your storytelling skills, how do you tell those stories in the way that people use that technology? What does a story look like if it’s told not on television, but online, using social media, iPhone apps, Facebook?” Mayfield told Encore.
Mayfield is one of Australia’s most successful transmedia storytellers, and an advocate for the use of cross-platform to extend a project and its audience – participating at events like the recent X Media Lab: Film Extended in Melbourne.
Hoodlum was established in 1999, and it was the work done for British broadcasters (Spooks for the BBC, Emmerdale for ITV) that gave the company the international notoriety that led to big projects in the Us,...

It's been quite awhile since Hollywood has dragged our old cold war enemy out of the closet to thrill us and scare us with spies, action, and of course the threat of the complete destruction of the world as we know it. Yet the bear is back - snarling and growling, riding a unicycle and juggling, and just as intent on the destruction of the United States as it ever was before.
Evelyn Salt is a high ranking CIA agent. One sunny day, an aging and apparently dying Russian defector appears at her office, ready to spill his spying guts for nefarious reasons of his own. His story is rather fantastic - decades ago, Russian Kgb agents abducted newborn children, and set about raising them themselves under a great 'Spymaster'. This...

The ad campaign for Salt centers around one ominous question: Who is Salt? Ad nauseum, the movie's story centers around this, too.
Angelina Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a relatively normal woman who works for the CIA in what seems to be the capacity of interrogating suspected spies. We learn she's specially trained in a bazillion different ways to be a spy, like fightin' and shootin' guns, and although she's behind a desk most of the day, she is not to be trifled with. (Even in a pencil skirt, she is able to take down a Swat team.) On the day of her and her loving husband's anniversary, a strange Russian defector named Orlov waltzes into the agency, and, due to him being some random and mysterious Russian guy, needs to be questioned. As Salt begins the interrogation, Orlov gives Salt and us, the audience, a thorough background on infamous Russian Ka program,...

If you’ve seen a trailer for Salt, then it’s likely you know too much about this film. Though, even if you’ve somehow escaped the movie’s terrible trailer, Salt doesn’t give audiences very much to cheer for. With a cartoonish plot, an unsympathetic main character and overly convenient plot devices, Salt takes itself far too seriously. A spy movie without suspense is like a romantic comedy without a silly misunderstanding or a slasher film where a good-looking teen victim is merely punched in the nose. Without suspense, the entire film will just hobble down its lifeless path en route to a grave sin for the genre: a predictable ending.
Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is a top-notch spy for the CIA. Bound to a desk job after being busted and subsequently beaten for espionage in North Korea, Salt has a knack for discovering bullplop when it strolls...

There are no correct responses to art, yet the notion of “guilty pleasure” is one that nearly everyone can agree upon. I can list dozens of idiotic things about the movie Salt that could (should?) make me conclude that it is garbage. Nevertheless, I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I enjoyed this inane motion picture, more so than other recent mindless pics like Predators, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Prince of Persia. As my colleague Matt Patches puts it, “Salt is the finest movie version of a terrible airport novel yet made.”
Salt begins with Angelina Jolie getting the crap beat out of her by North Koreans, swearing she is not a spy. After a prisoner exchange, we learn that she is a spy. Then a crazy Russian dude shows up at the CIA to claim that sleeper Russians who never got the memo that the...

It's been a little while since I posted an update on Sony's Salt Day X Exists game, but now I've had the chance to play through all nine missions and offer a summary of the experience. If you've missed my updates and have no clue what I'm talking about, DayXExists.com is a first person online game in which users step into the shoes of a CIA Junior Analyst. The site launched on May 17th with the first of nine missions, which concluded with Mission 9 this week. Complete all nine missions and you should be well prepped for the release of Sony's action-packed Salt on July 23rd. To start, I was contacted by rogue operative, Agent Salt, who went on the run after she was linked to an apocalyptic plot known as Day X. I wasn't really sure whether or not to trust Salt at first, but I decided it.

It’s Tuesday after a relaxing holiday weekend and time to get back to business. After tackling the first two missions of Sony’s Day X Exists game last week, Agent Salt gave me a brief reprieve before posting Mission 3 this afternoon. For those that haven’t been following our blog series, DayXExists.com (link: http://www.dayxexists.com/site/) is a first person online game in which users step into the shoes of a CIA Junior Analyst. The site launched on May 17th with the first of nine missions. A new mission will be released every Tuesday leading towards the release of the Salt movie on July 23rd, 2010. In the first two missions, I was first contacted by Agent Salt, a former CIA agent on the run after being linked to a deadly and potentially apocalyptic plot...

Yesterday I took on Mission 1 of Sony's new Salt Day X Exists online game, a fully immersive interactive world tied to the intense action of Salt, which hits screens July 23rd. To bring you up to speed, DayXExists.com (link: http://www.dayxexists.com/site/) is a first person online game in which users step into the shoes of a CIA Junior Analyst. The site launched on May 17th with the first of nine missions. A new mission will be released every Tuesday. In Mission 1, I was contacted by Agent Salt through a coded letter that led me to a cell phone where Salt spoke to me through a modulated voice. She asked for my help to prove her innocence and stop the potentially apocalyptic Day X. Once back at Agency Headquarters, I was interrogated on my whereabouts by the CIA Director Agent...

To be perfectly honest, I don’t know a whole lot about Sony’s summer thriller Salt aside from the brief plot synopsis, basically that a CIA operative named Agent Salt is forced to go on the run after she is accused of being a traitor mixed up in a massive and deadly plot known as Day X. The movie isn’t based on a game, comic or other medium. Yes folks, it’s actually that rare Hollywood antiquity of an original storyline. As such, Sony is pulling out all the stops to promote Salt’s July 23rd release and familiarize audiences with this world of high tech espionage. Part of their promotional plan is a first person online game which places gamers right in the thick of things. As a bit of a gamer myself, I decided to take the plunge and try out the...

As curious as I may be to find out if Angelina Jolie can pull of the seemingly impossible feat of launching the first (successful) woman-led action franchise, I don't know if I have it in me to commit to another online game. But, if you've got a little extra time, Sony has been hard at work on an online game to promote their summer espionage thriller, Salt, and in a new profile in The New York Times, it certainly seems like this game won't be just any old slap-dash marketing tool.
Created by Hoodlum in partnership with Sony, the game is called Day X Exists, and centers around, "stopping an unspecified terrorist threat called Day X. Evelyn Salt appears to be partly responsible, but she secretly contacts players and asks for their help in proving her innocence. As the game unfolds, it becomes clear that the agent is not quite who she claims to be.

A brand new poster and videogame trailer have been unveiled for Salt, starring Angelina Jolie...
The hype machine is clanking into gear for Columbia Pictures' Salt, the forthcoming action thriller from Columbia Pictures. Starring Angelina Jolie as the titular protagonist (the film isn't actually about sodium chloride, as I'd initially hoped), the film follows a CIA agent who goes on the run after accusations of being a Kgb secret agent.
The international poster has been revealed in all its Photoshopped glory, while a brand new trailer gives a taster of Day X Exists, a viral videogame which can be played on Salt's official website, here.
Salt is due for release on 23 July in the Us, and 20 August in the UK.

Columbia Pictures launched the official website for the Angelina Jolie-starring action-drama Salt, which comes to theaters July 23rd, 2010. The site features include a “Salt Dossier,” a synopsis of the story, the cast & filmmakers, a gallery, videos and downloads. The site also includes a link to the viral game “Day X Exists”.
As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt (Jolie) swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt’s efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: “Who Is Salt?”

Yahoo have release a new trailer for the viral game linked to the upcoming film Salt. You can see the trailer for the actual film here.
The film sees the character of Salt (Angelina Jolie) go on the run and the viral game appears to be linked to this hunt for Salt.
You can check out the viral site for Salt at Day X Exists where the first mission in the game is up and ‘playable’.
Not sure this looks too exciting but judging by the the pretty derivative looking film trailer I wonder if this viral might be more entertaining than the film. Watch the viral game trailer below and see what you think.

Who is Salt? I still don't really know what this Day X Exists viral game experience for Sony's Salt movie is all about, but they've launched a new trailer to try and explain a little bit and get people involved in it. Salt is that Angelina Jolie double-agent spy thriller that is hitting this summer (watch the trailer) and the big viral for the movie is a huge game "experience" they're launching this summer called Day X Exists (visit the site at: dayxexists.com). It says there are 9 missions users must complete and they all look highly interactive, so if you're a fan of virals or looking forward to Salt at all, this is definitely something you should check out! If you've seen the trailers for Sony's summer action movie Salt starring Angelina Jolie, you'll know that it has some kind of mysterious double crossing secret agent storyline where Jolie's actually a Russian spy. As expected with a plot like that, Sony is soon launching a big viral for the movie called the Day X Exists Game where users "become an undercover agent on the hunt for the elusive fugitive Evelyn Salt and stop the mysterious Day X plot." There's nothing on the website for the game yet besides a sign-up, so it hasn't started, but there are clues out there, like that website URL found in the trailer as seen in the photo above. I have to thank our friends at MovieViral.com for first writing about this. The key sites for this movie are whoissalt.com and dayxexists.com as well as their Twitter: @SaltMovie. One of their...
