A well done little comedy.

I had a class taught by one of the film's producers, and so I was able to view this film with about twenty-five or so of my classmates in a small and quite room. I will say that for that environment, this movie is perfect. I probably wouldn't want to see it in a large theater, nor do I think the film was made with that arena in mind. This is a small, quaint, completely charming little coming-of-age story about a group of middle-aged Chicagoans who don't ever want to grow up. Larry Joe Campbell and Keegan Michael Key absolutely steal the show, and truthfully if it weren't for the both of them, I'm not so sure how well this movie would play. All in all I'd say it's worth a shot. It's not artsy-fartsy, it's not Old School, but it does very well for a low budget guy comedy about growing up, having a core group of great friends, and of course, whiffle ball.

Refreshing

This was a great movie about a bunch of friends that like to drink beers and have a good time. They are all a few shades of clueless about catering to their wo-man. The characters are all likable in a Dwight Schrut kinda way. The main character is also the directer and writer and there are a few priceless lines in the movie. It's obviously not a big budget production but I wasn't too concerned. I would have liked if they actually put a title menu on the DVD. Other than that, the picture quality and filmography was tight. The city of Chicago is also a big star in the picture, but not in a majorly overdone kinda way. What else can I say? I enjoyed the movie much more than being forced to write a minimum of ten lines to qualify this review for IMDb publication. There..this one goes to eleven.

Very Funny Film! Seen it in a theater....

I must say, I had the opportunity to see this movie play in a rather large theater in my town, and I was pleasantly surprised at how funny the movie is! The film had a great feel to it and it played to the crowd really well. I cant recall a time the whole theater wasn't laughing, hysterically mind you! Very funny film, would love to see it touched up a bit and played nationally ! I think the film has great potential at the box office! The characters were very well portrayed by everyone. I really liked stencke , but all of the guys were really funny. The comedic timing was excellent and the lines were delivered really well.... All in all, a good, war hearted comedy!

I saw this movie at the so cal film festival and I missed most of it because I was laughing so hard. I can't wait until I have a chance to see it again. There is a preview at the allyball website. This film is full of great one-liners. The story revolves around Stuart and his relationship and the decisions he has to make regarding the rest of his life. His friends are the best part about this film, goofing off and getting into all types of funny situations. I would compare this film to something like eurotrip; meaning a group of friends getting into a situation together in order to help out. Great film to see to just relax and have a beer and few laughs with friends
