Trained dancer, makeup artist and presenter Raj Parmar takes a short break from Bollywood dancing to try his hand at ballet for a new television documentary. The multi-talented choreographer is starring in Channel 4’s Big Ballet, which sees 18-plus-size dancers fulfill their dream of performing in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.
The documentary sees Raj train and ultimately perform as the heinous villain Baron Von Rothbart in the iconic Ballet. Proving his versatility in the world of dance, Raj takes his temporary leave from Bollywood to master the art of the classical dance. Impressively, Raj beat 500 hopefuls for a much-coveted spot in the documentary. Surviving the grueling selection process, Raj now stars as one of the two male dancers and the only Asian in the group. Taking Bollywood to the ballet, Raj builds on his previous experience as a dancer for the role, for which he underwent four months of intensive training.

I’m now forced to choose between my blissfully happy avoidance of 24 and my enjoyment of Stephen Fry, as Deadline reports that Fry has signed up to play the UK Prime Minister in the upcoming 24 series.
The CW’s Flash pilot has cast two (potential) villains with Rick Cosnett (you might recognize him as The Vampire Diaries‘ Dr. Wes) as Eddie Thawne, a police detective whose name sounds a lot like a certain Flash archvillian‘s alter ego. Meanwhile, Denielle Panabaker will play Caitlin Snow a bioengineering expert who definitely shares a name with a another DC Comics villain.

Previously on Teen Wolf, despite the fact that they were both tripping balls on resurrection, Scott and Stiles helped Sheriff Stilinski re-humanize a werecoyote who accidentally killed her mom and sister in a car crash a couple of years ago. Allison continued to awesomely hallucinate awesome Kate Argent into a variety of terrifying/awesome situations, all of which resulted in Allison getting murdered. Peter and Derek recovered a long lost Hale family artifact after spending a week or so chained up shirtless in a dungeon, getting electrocuted to half-death by a grumpy ol’ gaggle of South American beast hunters. And Kira Yukimura moved to town to flirt with Scott and talk nonstop about bardo and join Stiles and Lydia’s co-founded extracurricular club: God’s Own Personal Favorite Faces.

It's Mischief Night on "Teen Wolf," and the pranks, strangeness and evil are everywhere in "Galvanize." From a serial killer with bugs in his belly to the Coach's bad birthday, this is horror at its finest.
Because Beacon Hills doesn't have enough problems ...
Guess what? In addition to werewolves and vengeful druids and who-knows-what-else-made-out-of-fireflies, it turns out that Beacon Hills is home to a serial killer! A man named William Barrow killed a bunch of kids by detonating shrapnel on a bus at some point in the past.
His explanation: They had glowing eyes. Which actually makes sense in this town. It is, however, still bad to commit mass murder.
It's also really bad to have a tumor filled with scary flies that escape during surgery. That's exactly what happens with Barrow, who then heads straight for the high school in order to take out more glowing-eyed kids or something like that.

A massive update from the MPAA has come in this afternoon beginning with a boatload of sequels such as Star Trek Into Darkness, Kick-Ass 2 and Grown Ups 2, the latter of which has one hell of a comical reason that includes a PG-13 for "some male rear nudity". Thanks for being so specific MPAA. We also have ratings for M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth, the zombie epic World War Z starring Brad Pitt, Neil Jordan's vampire effort Byzantium with Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan. Rounding out the well knowns is Fox's animated feature Epic and the star-studded comedy This is the End. Also included in this release is the Wesley Snipes zombie-hunting western Gallowalkers, which I featured the trailer for recently and at the same time noticed I first wrote about the film back in July 2006, which was a month before the film began production. She directed its opening film, From The Sea To The Land Beyond, and now veteran British director Penny Woolcock has won Sheffield DocFest's Inspiration Award. Mischief Night by Paul Melniczek
“When Rusty and his friends decide to visit the local neighborhood haunted house on Halloween night, they get much more than they bargained for, becoming embroiled in a hair-raising escapade which threatens to drag them into a living nightmare. There are more tricks than treats to be found in this old fashioned Halloween romp, and the plot continues to grow deeper and darker as old man Berger and his minions of evil seek to bring Rusty and his companions under their sinister control, their purposes unknown. In the tradition of a Halloween campfire tale, come and join the thrills and chills in this story of an October adventure gone drastically wrong.”
The third in Bad Moon Book’s Halloween novellas.
As I continue my Halloween celebration into December, I was fortunate enough to receive another Halloween novella from Bad Moon Books.

Anchor Bay Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of The Graves, the debut feature written, produced and directed by award winning comic book creator and writer and founder of Chaos Comics, Brian Pulido (whose works include Lady Death, Evil Ernie and Purgatori) on May 31st 2010. The film is a gory, blood-soaked shocker that begins in the ‘survival horror’ vein of films such as Wrong Turn, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Staunton Hill, House Of 1000 Corpses and Timber Falls before unleashing an unexpected supernatural twist.
A real crowdpleaser at Manchester’s GrimmFest last year, and at La’s After Dark Horrorfest in January, the film stars horror genre veterans Bill Moseley (TCM 2, The Devil’s Rejects), Tony Todd (Candyman) and Amanda Wyss (the original A Nightmare On Elm Street), alongside relative newcomers and future ‘scream queens’ in the making, Jillian Murray (Cheerleader Camp) and Clare Grant (Black Snake Moan).

Holy cow, tomorrow is Halloween! Time to dress up as something you aren’t now but maybe could be, to go out into the night in search of free candy or party fun, to get scared by movie monsters and whatever lurks there in the darkness. Good times.
Halloween has become America’s fastest growing holiday (Christmas better watch its back, as Jack Skellington knows), thanks to ever-increasing candy, costume and paraphernalia revenues. Halloween means discount sales for horror books and DVDs, local haunted houses and hayrides, special radio (“Monster Mash”) and TV programming (The Simpsons’ Treehouse Of Horror). It’s your complete genre holiday.
Now, twice this week, I’ve addressed the all-dressed-up aspect of All Hallow’s Eve—from my past as a kid trick or treating while disguised as Count Dracula and the Jolly Green Giant and from the present as a consumer touring the seasonal Halloween...

Who: Patricia Arquette, Jake Weber, and exec producer Glenn Gordon Caron Predictions: Lots of Qs about the move from NBC to CBS. 4:01 pm/Pst: The family element will remain a "huge" part of the show, says Caron. "We've got a bounty of stories to tell growing up." 4:03 pm: Caron thought that by ending last season with a cliff-hanger NBC would feel compelled to renew it. "We saw how well that worked out." 4:09 pm: Caron just dissed Heroes! Asked what it's like being paired with Ghost Whisperer on CBS, the exec says, "Given our history, it's nice to follow a show that people really like." 4:11 pm: Spoiler alert! When the new season starts, "Allison comes out of the coma and she's on a different network," Caron jokes. Now for some real scoop: He's planning a Mischief Night episode that inserts Allison into scenes from the original Night of the Living Dead.

Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Penny Woolcock (Tina Goes Shopping, The Death of Klinghoffer, Mischief Night) 1 Day stars newcomers Dylan Duffus, Orhan Whyte, Yohance Watson and Tobias Duncan.
Flash (Duffus) wakes up to a phone call from Angel (Watson) announcing that he’s being released from prison and wants the £500k he’d left with Flash for safekeeping. Short of the full amount and pushed for time, Flash is forced to strike a deal with Evil (Duncan) who more than lives up to his name. 1 Day follows Flash’s race against the clock as he’s pursued by a rival gang, the police, his three irate babymothers and his granny. Labled Britain’s first hip hop musical, 1 Day boasts original music performed by the cast. The film mixes hip hop and grime tracks with gospel, reggae and spirituals providing a realistic, vibrant soundtrack to the story.
