Artistic rendering of 1945 Hamilton Torso murder case
elizwood-119 January 2006
This 50-minute movie is a spell-binder. It riveted my attention from start to finish; all the acting was superb. It wonderfully captured the mood of movies during the 1940's with its black and white presentation, so evocative of all those Bogart films. Sarah Slean was terrific, as was Tom McCamus. Great pace and mood for a film made in 2005.

I saw it on Opening Night (CBC High Definition) in the late afternoon, Pacific Time. I had things I was planning to do, but the moment the movie started I realized I was hooked. Sarah, who had been more of a singer than an actor until this film, will surely be seen again in film, as she is has great stage presence and timing.

Julian's character is funny!!

Warning: Spoilers
I have seen this film when it aired on TV and it was an interesting one. I really enjoyed Julian's character in it and how he spoke of certain body parts on the deceased! He also had an eeriness when it came to being introduced to the Black Widow herself!! Julian used the same body language in a scene in The Last Casino. Just looking at him in the scene sent chills down my spine!! Since there is no word of this movie being released there is not too much more to say other than if Julian's character was not in it to spice it up the movie would have been very boring! I will give this movie a five out of ten for the fact there were very few actors that I recognized and admired.
