The first 15 minutes are fun, but then...

The first 15 minutes of "Det Perfekte Kup" are really funny. I don't have snobbish feelings about movies. IMO, a low-budget movie with few or no famous actors, could be just a good as a "mainstream"-movie. Yes, often I think that lowbudget movies are better than mainstream movies, that they often are more original and "free" from "norms". Unfortunately "Det Perfekte Kup" don't fulfill my thesis. Even though the first 15 minutes are very funny, the movie becomes boring, trivial and "unfunny" the last 60 minutes. There are a lots of funny episodes in the beginning of the movie, but the rest of the movie are almost without humor. Sad, because the start promise well. Furthermore, the movie tries to "aspire to higher things" as regards famous actors. Robert Hansen (a mediocre famous Danish actor) stands as the "no 1" actor, and people may think, that he is the main person. But he is only present the first 2-3 minutes of the movie. After that, we don't see anymore to him. On the other hand, the three real main persons are in the bottom of the actor list on the front cover.

What a waste of time

I've rated 3998 movies and given one star to ten of them. This is the worst I have ever seen!

Funny and charming little flick

Warning: Spoilers
Caught this film at the CPH:PIX Film Festival in Copenhagen and what a pleasant surprise it was. The story jumps back and forth between fantasy and reality and most of the film actually takes part in the minds of the leading characters. Especially the first scene, a bank robbery gone bad, is hilarious, and in general the relationship between the three no-good bandits is touching and charming. As a nice extra for those speaking danish all main characters are speaking with a Jutland accent, making them both believable and slightly goofy. Nice to see a danish film where everybody doesn't sound like they come from downtown Copenhagen. All in all a charming film with lots of laughs. Highly recommended :-)

Not what I expected

I have just seen the movie tonight in Aarhus city in the "Øst for Paradis" theater. Its the only place its gonna be played and only for 7 Day's . First I must say, after watching the trailer. I expected more, but it is a low budged film, so i suppose its alright. The plot is about 3 friends, who want to make the perfect heist. But all goes wrong, the start by trying to rob a bank, but the bank is closed. Now sitting in jail, the try to make a new plan to complete the perfect robbery. The movies shows their plans, while they a sitting in the jail cell and planning. From time to time its a bit confusing. But it brings up some funny scenes . But its recommendable, it gives a few laughers. I have no regret offering the money. Go see it, I don't think it will come out on DVD either----------- Now running in "cafe biografen" in Odense from 5/9-19/9-08
