Hetfield and Uhlrich Ain't Losing Any Sleep...
dwacon-230 May 2008
These kids have some talent... but not enough life experience to be able to write a fully conceived metal song.

Then again... the same could be said for some of the heavy metal greats. I mean... Metallica wrote classics like Unforgiven, One, and Outlaw Torn, then later do Saint Anger? But this isn't about them... really. It is about a bunch of kids from across the pond with a desire to rock and to do so in the heaviest of ways.

I think in a few years they have the potential to do something great. But, meanwhile, they got all the girls fluttering around them... and I believe that is the true point of picking up a guitar and going on stage, isn't it?

I'm confused...
planktonrules17 November 2008
I'm a bit confused by this short film. IF it is intended as a "mockumentary" about a fictitious rock group made up of small children, then the idea is brilliant. IF it is real and these kids really are a musical group, then I am horrified. It's really hard to tell which is occurring here and when I did a Google search, I STILL wasn't sure. Considering some parts of the film were funny, I tend to think this is all a put-on. Plus, what parents could be stupid enough to encourage kids 10-13 to be in a metal group called "Hatred" that sings odes to the glory of Satan (such as the glorious "Satan Rocks")!!?! On the other hand, in the back of my mind I realize that there are some idiot parents (such as Britney's or Lindsay's) who see no problem with robbing their children of their innocence and childhood.

So how do I score this film?! If it's not real, then it deserves kudos for being like a children's' version of SPINAL TAP. If it's real, then I think these parents are morons who think the most important thing about being a parent is being their kid's best friends.

Could anyone let me know definitively so I can know how to adequately score this film!? PS--If this group is REAL, then why doesn't the group's adult manager have a career of his own? He has an excellent voice and I can't see why anyone would want little kids doing these silly adult-oriented songs.
