A movie worth Seeing.. 6.5 / 10
movie_bloke14 June 2008
This is a movie that most people will avoid to see, cause its not advertised & mostly unknown actors. But if you were a fan of a TV series called Boy Meets World, you might recognise a couple of the actors. If you like indie movies such as Napoleon Dynamite & Eagle vs Shark, most probably you would like this too, It is filmed with a lower budget, About a Guy who lives with His dad & has no job, so his dad forces him to get off his lazy behind & start selling cars with him. It's a good lesson on family bonding. Not the best movie you would ever see, but it's entertaining & u don't start to dose off. It was a surprise, i didn't know what u was in for but. its worth the 90 minutes.

High octane enjoyment from a compact-size budget; very fun

Big Len (Blake Clark) has owned a car dealership for many years. He has done very well and delights in making offbeat ads. He even named his only son Ford (Ben Savage), who has a degree in English, but, has had no luck in the job market. Ford has returned home and is living in his childhood room, where his beautiful blonde girlfriend comes for late night visits. This, even though Len comes through the door at unexpected times. One day, another lovely gal, Alicia (Carolina Garcia) comes to the lot and admires a classic auto when Ford is there. Alas, when they take it for a spin, the car gets damaged and Len is angry. He declares that his son will work for him, no ifs or buts, until the debt is paid. This is horror for Ford, who is embarrassed by his dad's ads and who has trouble admiring the motley crew of salesmen at the business. Nevertheless, Ford starts his stint and is surprised to grow more comfortable every day. True, his girlfriend has left him to go work at Melons, the copycat Hooters of the city. But, Ford has managed to get Alicia to go out with him and romance may be blossoming. Word comes, unhappily, that the dealership is losing money and is in desperate danger of being taken over by a competitor. Can Len, Ford and the others save the day? This is a funny film that was probably made on a compact-car budget but delivers high-octane entertainment. The cast members, all rather obscure, still put forth finely comedic performances while the script and direction have above average qualities. Yes, the sets, costumes, and photography are not stellar but they aren't bad, either. All in all, if you, like this viewer, are forever seeking off-the-map films that are very worthwhile, jump in the car and go get this one.
