Amazing.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to watch My Last Confession during a Calgary film festival. I've been sitting here trying to think of something clever and insightful to say about this film, but I can't. It is amazing, and that is all I can say.

The writing is witty and interesting, delivered effortlessly by the talented cast. The lighting is gorgeous, the cinematography is interesting, and it all comes together to tell a subtle, surprising, and powerful story.

A treat to watch. Amazing. It's as simple as that. If you ever get the opportunity to see this film, I heartily recommend it.

Not to Be Missed!

I really enjoyed "My Last Confession" and strongly recommend it to those who love honest film-making! The story involves a child's reluctance to confess his "sins" and the anxiety this creates. The movie is set in a particular time, and in a particular place, and nails it as far as authenticity goes.

Characters exchange looks, people come and go, and everything moves forward at the perfect pace. It's funny and true and grabs the viewer in the opening minutes and holds on tight until the end. Certain scenes have stayed with me in their entirety since my first viewing! The actors are natural, and their performances excellent. I hope we see a lot more of this Director's work in the future!
