Super-amazing for a 48 hour film!

Warning: Spoilers
The film is a mockumentary that is ostensibly made about the director's lover, L. Schnabel. Schnabel is a very mousy young lady who seems to have almost no confidence. However, through the course of the film, she summons up incredible inner strength to try the seemingly impossible and by the end of the film she is a vastly different person--most likely spurred on by the camera to take on new challenges.

This film was one of several I have seen that apparently were made over a 48 hour period as part of some sort of experiment. Considering how well executed LEARNING TO FLY was, it sure has the polish and quality you'd expect from a film taking many weeks to complete. In particular, some of the camera shots were VERY difficult (such as those showing Ms. Schnabel jumping from the airplane). Plus, the gentle sense of humor the film had made the project shine. I really appreciate all the tremendous effort that went into making this film.
