A poor imitation of "The Osbournes" - but not as funny or original
MovieAddict201618 August 2006
At one time during the 1980s Hulk Hogan was one of the most popular figures in the entertainment industry. He was a famous wrestler who tried to branch out into films (and failed) with numerous projects. As the '90s came and went, Hulk's fans faded out - and by 2000 he's nothing more than a has-been. So what better way to boost his popularity again than start up a new reality TV show about Hulk and his family? Hey, I've got an idea - we could call it "Hogan Knows Best," which doesn't really make any sense. (Are they implying Hulk is a mother?) The show is a carbon copy rip-off of MTV's "The Osbournes." A few years ago MTV camera crew followed Ozzy, Sharon, his daughter Kelly and son Jack around in their multi-million dollar mansion. Now VH1 is doing the same thing with Hulk. What's lame is that the show is like "The Osbournes" in almost every way - Hulk has a wife who loves dogs, a daughter who wants to be a singer (and is hopelessly spoiled), and a weirdo son. The problems? Well for one Ozzy is hilarious and fun to watch, whereas Hulk...isn't. Give a guy with drug abuse and a deteriorated mind a TV show? Comedy gold. Give an ex-wrestler who wears a bandanna on his head 24/7 and wears t-shirts with his own face on them a TV show? Total crap. Hulk's wife isn't as complimentary to Hulk as Sharon was to Ozzy in their TV show. She comes across as an annoying spoiled princess isolated in her mansion. Kelly Osbourne was annoying but it worked to the show's advantage - Hulk's daughter is just plain bland. And I'm not even going to start on his son. This is essentially a really, really basic (and really, really poor) concept for a TV show, and VH1 should be ashamed for thinking they could ever pull this over on people without instantly drawing comparisons to "The Osbournes." It's a lame, pathetic show and just makes Hulk and his family come across as money-grabbing fame-chasers with no future.

Hulk's kids are idiots!
tesawi5 September 2008
I have seen some sorry excuses in my life, but Hulk's kids take the prize. What a pair of idiots! Nick cripples his friend because he's stupid enough to drive impaired and his sister shouldn't be allowed to open her mouth anywhere in public. Instead of blaming Nick's friend for his "trouble", both Hulk and Linda should be asking God what they did to deserve such stupid children, or better yet, ask themselves what they did to make them so stupid. Part of the problem is that Nick and Brooke were indulged way too much when they were younger, and it has turned them into a couple of self-centered, selfish, childish, idiotic little monsters. I feel sorry for anyone who makes the mistake of becoming friends with them. It comes with way too high a price.

Good show
nroark916 August 2006
Just want to say i thank Hogan Knows Best is a good show for any age to enjoy. The only improvement that I would like to see is for it to come on more often! Hope Terry kicks A-- at s.s.! I really want Brook to hit it big with her video's. I do not know how Linda deals with all the Hogan's and everything that is going on. I also would like to add I thank they done what was right on fighting for their pets. The main reason I have so much respect for the show is that Hulk always lets everyone know right up front that family comes first in his life over anything he does. This is a good example that all parents should follow. I hope all is well and that the show keeps going for many years to come.

thanks nick

This show is actually pretty entertaining.....insightful to see Hulk as a total family man!
malibu-73 April 2006
Some reality shows really get on my nerves....they can be so silly. My husband and I were watching TV one day and we saw a commercial for Hogan Knows Best and he asked me if I had ever watched it. He said he watched some of it and it wasn't that bad. So we watched it the next time it was on and I actually liked it. It's refreshing to see how much of a family man he is and that he is so down to earth. I really think he's a neat guy! I like the way he gets along w/ other people - he doesn't seem cocky or arrogant - he just seems like a nice guy. The kids are pretty spoiled but you know....if we had lots of money like they do, our kids would probably be spoiled rotten too. Brooke and Nick might have a lot but at least they are nice and not bratty and stuck up. The whole family seems down to earth. Hulk is just a nice, interesting family man - keeps me coming back. (Love their house too!!!)

the only replacement to ozzy
simon-85023 October 2005
This show is great, the only replacement to Ozzy yet.. Millions of people worshiped Hogan in the 80s and 90s and just like with Ozzy.. this is the prefect replacement for reality TV.. the children are at the right age where its interesting to see whats going on in there lives and the fact that Hogan is still around in the WWE makes it even better. This is now the best thing on TV! I want more of it! Lets hope they keep shooting this for as long as possible. People who are slagging off the show just don't get it and are probably the same kinda people who slagged off The Osbornes when it first came out.. look at it now! It takes a star the size of Hogan to carry the torch and this is the time to do it, geat TV, love it!

Terryfan28 March 2006
Hogan Knows Best is an show about World Wresting Fedration superstar Hulk Hogan and his family, his wife, Linda, His very pretty daughter, Brookie, and his son, Nick.

This show is a very entertaining show, and Hulkamanics get to see the Hulkter and what he and his family are like at home.

The Hogans are an normal family with family programs.

Hulk Hogan is a legend in the WWF (Back when it was WWF).

Linda Hogan is a housewife.

Brookie Hogan is working on becoming a singer, She has a lovely voice.

Nick Hogan is a Racer and works on cars.

If you ever get an chance to watch Hogan Knows Best, I recommend watching because it's just great!

Reality shouldn't be this funny.

Warning: Spoilers
I get a little tingle of excitement whenever Hogan Knows Best comes on and that's not because of Linda's legendary-sized knockers. Hulk Hogan is the biggest, strongest neurotic I've ever seen - and it's fantastic. His ego knows no bounds, walking around in Hulk Hogan T-Shirts and driving around in a bright yellow pick-up truck (there's a trick to blending in with the crowd). He will refer to himself in the 3rd person (and as Hulk Hogan, not Terry Bollea, I swear every time some calls him Terry, he dies a little inside) at least 5 times per show and will make mention of himself as the greatest athlete since Jesus won the Olympic Limbo contest in 1968. He's so insecure it's scary. He will willingly sabotage his son's first relationship because he is no longer the centre of his universe. How does he do this? Gets a big breasted model to lead his son away, so he can laugh at the poor girl whose only crime is going out with the son of the world's biggest, wrinkliest 5 year old. He will walk into a liquor store and ask for a "Hulk Hogan discount" and then complain when being pestered for an autograph in a restaurant (can't you people see he just wants a normal life!?!) Hulk Hogan is a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction and it's brilliant to watch!

Great reality show minus...
jusdean-843282 October 2022
Terry "Hulk" Hogan with his insecurities with the LGBT+ felt very homophobic and closed minded. He was my least favorite of the show. His now ex wife Linda and there son Nick was more interesting. Brook Hogan to me has so much Star potential, the girl can sing. I have her two studio albums still. I'm rewatching the show now since I gotten the dvd box set, the family was very fun to watch and joy to watch on VH1. I hate it didn't last long but I understand Nick dui situation and Brook having her own show and movies. I do miss the corny early 2000's reality tv shows. This was one of the best of them.
