I have to say it took me 3 or 4 minutes of this 13-minute short film before I began to appreciate it, but when I finally did, I couldn't really look away. I think it was the sequence with the different hats that got me curious. Anyway, this is already over 10 years old and filmmaker Stephan Müller (in his 20s here) could not really make the transformation yet into one of Germany's theater release directors. Maybe it will happen one day. This film had parts that were really entertaining (like the peace symbol or the cops near the end) and others that I did not find interesting at all (advertizing billboards). The "how to get rid of your boredom"-reference was a bit random too. Actually ma response to that early on was, by watching this short movie, or I should probably say the first 5 minutes of it. It all comes down to your personal taste how you will perceive this short film and how much you will like it. It's very raw and experimental, but all in all I recommend it, especially if you like optical illusions. I think they should have chosen a better title though, maybe one that foreigners understand as well.
