Beautifully done, excellent for all ages

The 3 disc DVD set was purchased for my 2-year old daughter for Christmas. We have since watched all three discs well over 20 times. While the 25-minute running time is a little short for our tastes, it's well worth it. A beautiful combination of classical music and famous artwork combined with child-friendly animations makes these shows captivating for both the young and old. Adults will love the soft music and the famous artwork, while the child marvels at the infant conductor and the cartoons "playing" in the pieces being portrayed. A wonderful option on the DVDs are "Pop Ups" that show you what the titles are of the pieces being played and the artwork being shown. A helpful tool for older children and adults that wish to further their own art education.

Classical Baby videos are great!

I don't buy into the "TV is bad for children" hype. I think it depends on the content and the amount of time spent watching. I began watching these videos with my granddaughter when she was just a few months old. I bought the three DVD video set and it was part of her "bedtime ritual" up through the age of about 2 to watch one of them each night. She is four and a half now, she still likes to watch them when she is trying to "wind down" for the day. It was a wonderful way to introduce her to the sounds of classical music, which she loves! She now has a baby brother who is being introduced to them now too. I highly recommend these videos!

Just beautiful & stimulating for small kids

Watch gorgeous animation & hear relaxing classical music played by animals. The orchestra is led by a baby standing at the podium in a diaper! It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. The music is professional, just awesome sounding classical & goes especially well with each short animated story. Each song is well known & you'll easily recognize it. All seems to be purposely geared toward stimulating small children & teaching something in a way that younger kids can relate. The animation shows a baby learning to walk, playing with various different baby toys, learning A,B,C's, a caterpillar changing into a butterfly, a cow singing opera to the night sky & pulling a star from the sky, you have to check out all the different short stories. The whole time I watched I was thinking that parents would like watching this with their small kids. Don't worry about it being too bland & simple so adults won't like it, this isn't like that. The different animation stories are well done & each goes with the different classical song played by an animal orchestra & led by a baby in a diaper! After each song the scene switches to show the baby in the diaper at the podium smiling & taking a bow. Then we see the audience clapping & the audience is a bunch of different animals. After the clip of a caterpillar walking through a garden, meeting other insects, & changing into a butterfly they show a caterpillar seated in the audience who claps extra long with all ten of his hands. All of it is animated. So cute!
