The Wagettes make a return in this video, having been last seen in The Wiggles: Wiggly, Wiggly World! (2000).
Songs from this video would later be seen in The Wiggles (1993) Series 4, with the studio scenes revealing part of the video's original widescreen aspect ratio.
As with some other Wiggles videos of the early to mid-2000s, this video was filmed in 16:9 widescreen but released to home video in a 4:3 version, since standard "full screen" TVs were still more common at the time. However, unlike Wiggle Bay, Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins! and Santa's Rockin'!, which were all edited in widescreen and later cropped as a whole, Top of the Tots had its footage cropped to 4:3 at the editing stage. This is noticeable when compared with clips seen in TV series 4, where they were re-edited in widescreen. So, while The Wiggles have held onto master copies of the other videos in wider aspect ratios (14:9 for Wiggle Bay and Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins! and 16:9 for Santa's Rockin'!), it appears that Top of the Tots only exists as a complete video in the 4:3 version, which has continued to be used in newer releases like the (now delisted) iTunes and Amazon Prime Video releases and YouTube upload of the video.
All the studio footage was shot in 16:9, while outside footage are a mix of 4:3 and 16:9. As such, song clips in TV series 4 have the 4:3 footage bordered or stretched, depending on the example.
"Calling All Cows" and a short excerpt of "Welcome to Network Wiggles" makes their video debut, after the original debut on the 'Whoo Hoo Wiggly Gremlins" album the previous year.
This was the third and final non-concert Wiggles video to be filmed at Sydney Entertainment Centre.
