Fixing the Errors of the Past Life
claudio_carvalho28 July 2007
While driving in a road, a reckless truck driver forces the car of the selfish exporter Tom (Andrew Gregson) to plunge off a bridge into a river. He is rescued by Pim (Piyada Akaraseni), who jumps in the water to save him, and mysteriously get into a coma. Tom becomes aware that Pim and him are paying for what they had done wrong in their past lives, and Tom must save the lives of three women to redeem from his errors and save Pim.

"Kon Raruek Chat" is a supernatural, not an horror movie, about karma and past lives. The story is original and well developed, and in spite of not being familiarized with these concepts, the conclusion is enjoyable and has a good message of making good to fix the errors of the past life. Oxide Pang is one of my favorite directors and he is the writer of the story of this movie, which deserves to be watched by viewers that expect a simple, but effective story. My vote is six.

OK if you're not expecting too much

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a nice surprise. The story is easy to follow, being just another Karma story and people learning how it affects their own lives. I don't know why but in the cover Oxyde Pang was involved in the writing, checking it here it didn't appear attached in the project at all. So I was expecting an horror thriller in the same style of The Eye but what I had was something totally different. Not exactly a thriller and not exact an action movie. Something different but not different enough to be remembered. Like I said it's an OK movie if you're not expecting a masterpiece. It can be checked but it won't change your life in anyway.
