Sex & Nudity

  • Lil Cuyler has huge, lumpy breasts without nipples.
  • Squidbillies contains surreal but graphic content that while mainly comedic it can be frightening, disgusting or horrifying to certain people.
  • Scenes of crude and surreal, but comical sexual content, references and nudity are seen in several episodes; however most of the time sexual references populate the show.
  • A running gag has Early's hat saying or depicting some sexually charged images or graphics.

Violence & Gore

  • Brutal, bloody cartoon violence is frequent. Gun violence; beatings, murder and other violent conflicts are seen throughout, but most of the violence is meant to be humorous.

Profanity

  • "Goddamn" was censored until season 8.
  • "Shit" was censored until season 9.
  • Frequent language includes uses of "bastard', "slut" "bitch" and other assorted mild profanities like "damn" and "hell". Racial slurs and stereotypes are common; but this is played for laughs. Anything stronger is bleeped.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Drugs, alcohol and smoking are scattered in the series, including a character that operates a meth lab; a chain-smoking cop and assorted alcohol consumption that can lead to comical drunken behavior.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Throughout the show, a character is verbally and physically abusive towards his entire family, especially his son. Sensitive viewers may find this frightening. However this is played for laughs.
  • Squidbillies, while mainly comical in it's premise is extremely surreal and strange; and contains moments that can be very shocking and gruesome. The violence, racism and stereotypes can be offensive to some.
