Not much happening here.
doug1967_118 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Young woman travels to Florida to make it as a singer. Does anything to get ahead. Stabs everyone in the back in the process. Nothing really new; you've seen it all before. Stereotypes abound, too (the gay landlord named George Michaels (how's that for originality?), all those in the music industry are scum, record label owns you body and soul once you sign on the dotted line, etc.

Not much to recommend it except that 1) it's short (75 minutes) and 2) the women are all cute and look great in tight skirts. Guys if you're expecting nudity, there's not much here. Best look elsewhere. Acting is so-so, but not much character development really torpedoes it's chances.

Yawn.

worst movie ever
nymichael200227 January 2007
I decided to rent this movie for a goof because I live in South Beach and I thought it would be amusing to see something filmed locally. I'd like to ask the director for my money back because this had to be one of the most amateurish, poorly acted films that I've ever seen. I've seen high school productions with better acting. The movie's basically about 3 girls that are trying to make it in the music business. One of them is starts out by being the naive innocent one but in reality she's the evil manipulative backstabber. The plot and dialog is so cheesy that I actually couldn't keep a straight face while watching it. The only redeeming quality about the movie is the cinematography which is okay and shows plenty of South Beach architecture and sights. But please do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Great Title Song,Even Though A Weak Film.
nytimesreporter3 April 2007
I am giving this movie a fairly high rating, not because of the quality of the script which is really amateurish, and seems to have been written hurriedly and without much intelligent interaction and plot ,but due to the wonderful hit material song "Take Good Care Of My Heart" by Patti Russo (Of Meatloaf fame) and the quality work with her music producer,Veteran F.Weinberg. The songs is the centerpiece of the movie. All other tracks seem to be rejects from a non-existent fantasy reality show which would have been called: "What kind of music can you write which will be ineffective and forgettable?" The director,Errol Falcon does a nice quality job with what seems to be an extremely low budget. Some of the acting is passable. Sensuality and sexuality is non-existent in this flick I believe this movie also came out with the title "Lies"

Tight Movie

While this little film isn't groundbreaking, it certainly has its strengths: good story, nice cinematography, good music, and best of all, cute girls. I would have liked for it to be a bit more "steamy," but overall, this movie is no different from bigger budgeted dramas except they have bigger names and more hype (typically undeserving). This is a very solid effort, and would have drawn more attention with better actors. However, there are some good performances from the lead "bad girl," and some other folks performed admirably as well. I really liked the sleazy agent who kept trying to put Jolie in compromising situations. The cinematography really captures the essence and allure of Miami. Will this go down as an all-time favorite of mine? No. Was it worth the viewing? Absolutely!
