If you ever feel down on yourself.. just watch this show and feel better.

Warning: Spoilers
Decently done show but watching just how inept some people are is scary. In the current season (6) the woman named Dale makes me ask myself many questions: 1. How is she even capable of walking or lifting food to her mouth? 2. How could this woman have ever passed a driving test??? She must have had a blind test person or paid them off. 3. How can she possibly wish that her children would let her drive her grandkids around again? She sees how awful she is at driving yet still wants to drive kids around.

They have not ever said anything on the show about her having a mental disability and with most you cannot get a license to begin with. Unless someone has a mental disability there is absolutely no excuse for any human being to be this incapable.

I am honestly not a bad guy and hope my comments don't make me seem like one but my goodness she is the most inept human being I have ever witnessed in my 43 years of life.

I'm not a fan of reality TV but i am a fan of horror films
cpburrowes16 November 2009
I have found this show strangely appealing because it seems to combine horror films with reality. These people really drive the streets of the cities that my everyday life takes me to. I wish with all my heart that this show was faked. That these drivers were mere actors and every driver on the roads was capable and fit to be on the roads but, alas, although most of us have made a mistake or two from time to time there are people like those on this show that make mistakes while driving on a daily basis. worse yet when these people make small mistakes they magnify the problem by quickly losing control of the problem. So to sum this up. this show is like a good horror movie. I love it and hate it simultaneously. It gets under my skin because it deals with a real terror anyone who steps outside their door has to face. Bad drivers are everywhere and they can get you anywhere. Heck, we've all heard ill-fated stories of cars crashing right into homes. The horror. The horror.

You might learn something while simultaneously being horrified.

I do not like reality shows at all, but Canada's Worst Driver is actually relevant to everyone. This show amazes me every time I watch it - no matter what season and how many times I watch the same challenges the "drivers" face. It astounds me the lack of common sense these drivers have BUT also TERRIFIES me that this show is able to easily find contestants year after year.

can't stop laughing - does that mean I'm a terrible person?

Warning: Spoilers
Since moving to vegas I've seen some pretty outlandish stuff like the van full of kids unseated, unbuckled, hooping and hollaring in the back with the side door open and speeding down the street at 50. But, now it all makes sense. I'm convinced now the canadians have invaded las vegas.

I like to think that I'm tolerant of other people who are different but I need to do some serious soul searching after watching some of these episodes. It seems to me like the producers have gone out of their way to pick people who match certain stereotypes like the semi-hot blond, the Asian lady in the van, and various others that I won't list because they are by description offensive. I must have been a sick and sadistic person all along and didn't realize it because when that Asian lady t- boned the mustang in the field and then couldn't explain why, it probably took me about 20 mins to stop laughing (and choking). I guess I'm a terrible person after all.

Insurance in canada must work much differently than in the states. They mangle and maim more cars in one episode than I've seen in a demolition derby and I've seen a few. Of course this on their own lot but the personal stories of these drives is insane. I've never heard of anyone causing $300K in damages and still driving. All I can say is please don't cross the border and drive here. And also, I say to canada, stop making those TV shows about the country below the border and embrace your own heritage and culture. You know the ones I'm talking about. The shows filmed in toronto but supposed to be some place in new jersey or a small town in maine. You've gotten plenty of fodder like this in canada to be proud of, so show the flag.

Kudos to the host too and the production staff. Andrew is pretty funny and they do a fantastic job putting everything together. I almost want to be Canadian so I can get on the show.

They should do a "where are they now" season
lanaufimtseff26 September 2022
It would be great to see how everybody is doing now, when it comes to drivers in the show. Just to see if people have improved at all. These shows have been interesting to watch. To see how useless drivers are in Canada. How idiotic people are as drivers. How some ppl see it as hilarious to drive so poorly all the time. To watch some of these drivers who are from Canada. How poor the driving system is to allow such terrible drivers on our roads. It's scary. Wish the had kept up with the seasons. I know there are terrible drivers now. There will always be terrible drivers who will need improvement.

Canadians make the best reality shows
Between Highway Thru Hell, Canada's Worst Handyman and this show, I submit that Canada's best export is reality TV. The people are real, the situations are relatable, and there are no trite happy endings.

Compare that to American ''reality" TV which is highly scripted, fllled with frustrated actors, and little more than exhibitionism by narcissists.

Who can't relate to the trial and tribulations of shytty drivers. Either you're one, your married to one, or you know one. Plus, unlike most reality shows, which actually damage your brain and make you st--pider by watching, Canada's Worst Driver actually teachers viewers a thing or two if you're paying attention. Not only about driving, but about relationships.

Reality tv in a nutshell
cheesywhistle26 May 2023
Inherrently exploitative and emotionally manipulative/inconsistent. The show ping pongs between gawking at bad drivers and milking emotion with people who genuinely need help. Some tests are also way above skill level for beginners. Defensive driving is good to learn but if these aren't things taught in driver's ed, don't do them? It just comes across as setting people up to fail. The people on the show aren't good drivers and are often times stupid and inept, but the show is so smug.

Whatever. Reality tv is trash. Often times how awkward the editing is makes me laugh. If this wasn't televised it'd be 100 times more productive.

Anything can be a program

A show about observing bad canaduhian drivers. I've driven on their roads and not to say canaduhians aren't bad drivers I've never seen anyone so bad close up.

Maybe it's another scripted show like the rest of them. Producers or seducers probably thought it was a good idea to make very dumb drivers to sell their product. Unfortunelty, it did not work for me.

I think this show is 75% scripted. CWD is a good concept, but its over the top bad drivers I think is exaggerated and for me that doesn't work well for me.

CWD might be good for a good "Really?!" kind of laugh, then after that you move on.
