Under-appreciated

This is no masterpiece but its actually not a bad little movie. Good plot, some nice characterisation, good work from Mel B!!! The acting was so-so - I've seen worse but it wasn't Oscar worthy. Don't expect too much but watch this for the cool little story - like a good but slightly trashy mystery novel. I think it deserves more attention and easily beats a lot more popular rubbish out there. Plus you can actually watch in on utube for free if you know where to look ;)

I have to write more lines so I'm just trying to think of something else to say. The girl playing Eve was quite good but I don't think she was good enough to carry off the crucial final scenes which was a shame. That could have been a brilliant ending but it ends up being a bit stilted all round. Still n all - doesn't completely ruin things, the story remains a good one and worth following.

A fantastic movie, overshadowed by low budget and little to no promotion/recognition

I loved Telling Lies. The only reason I got this movie to begin with was because I am a huge Spice Girls fan and I saw Melanie Brown was in it, so I just had to watch it sometime. The movie itself was really great and exciting. I did not look away from the screen once, because the movie sucks you in from the very beginning and keeps you completely interested through out the rest of the film.

The acting might have gotten slightly poor at times, but it was never terrible, and the plot was wonderful for a movie of this standards. All the characters were amazingly interesting too, such as Maggie, Faith, and Eve, which Eve was one of my favorite characters. It has a decent scipt and overall excellent entertainment value, which I think makes it a gem among anyone who is able to see it.

Overall I thought this movie delivered, and it is a shame that it was not as popular and appreciated as it was, because it was an excellent movie, which really the only problems it had were because of low budget and little to no promotion, recognition or advertising, because I can understand why it would not be a hit, but still, it deserved a lot more appreciation than it got. I recommend you see it immediately.
