It's Comic-Con Sunday. Woo! On Saturday, I live-blogged Wbtv's Night of DC Entertainment, "True Blood" and "The Vampire Diaries." Sunday is TV Day in Hall H and I'll be live-blogging panels for "Sons of Anarchy" and "The Strain." But first? Kevin Williamson and Kevin Bacon return to see if people are actually interested in what's in store for Season 3 of "The Following"... Follow along... [See what I did there?] 11:13 a.m. The line to get into Hall H is, at the most, a couple hundred people and I'm guessing a couple thousand "Supernatural" fans departed. 11:15 a.m. Off we go! Our panel: Sam Underwood, Marcos Siega, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Williamson, Jennifer Johnson, Shawn Ashmore and Jessica Stroup. 11:18 a.m. They shot two endings last season, at least allegedly. With teases like this, I never know who's joking and which "special" endings are real. It begins as last season did with Kevin Bacon...

Just when Ryan was finally happy again a year after losing Claire, his whole world came crashing down on "The Following" on Monday (March 31). Even though viewers have known that Joe's ex-wife and Ryan's ex-love was actually alive for the past two episodes, Ryan finally learned the truth when she showed up on his doorstep with no warning at the end of "Freedom."
This is going to complicate Ryan's life even more than it already is ... and that's saying something. First of all, he's happily dating Carrie Cooke. They're having tons of frequent dinners and adult sleepovers, and he even admits to Mike during a girl talk sesh that she's making him optimistic again. Of course, Mike knew the truth about Claire being alive so not only will her return mess up Ryan's relationship with Carrie, it will most certainly mess up his relationship with Mike. You could see the...

"The Following" Season 2 has ramped up the intensity with each passing episode, but believe us when we say you haven't seen anything yet.
Monday (March 3) night's episode "Sacrifice" marks the halfway point of the sophomore season, and when the final moments air, nothing will ever be the same. Zap2it watched the episode early, and because we know how excruciating the wait can be in between episodes, here are 10 spoilers from the epic, intense, game-changing episode to hold you over until it airs:
10. Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) knows he went a little too far in the last episode, pummeling Luke (Sam Underwood) into a bloody mess. He makes a big, mature decision about his future right away ... but those plans change pretty quickly.
9. Thanks to Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) and Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), Lily Grey (Connie Nielsen) has lost most of her psychopath family after carefully cultivating it for years.

"The Following" executive producer Kevin Williamson promised that the Fox serial killer thriller would look a lot different in Season 2, and after the premiere aired last Sunday, we were convinced.
The show was as dark as ever, but our characters were irrevocably changed by the events of the Season 1 finale, and thus, their goals had changed. Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) is no longer working with the FBI to find Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) because the FBI believes Joe is dead -- though Ryan knows he's still alive, so he is now working with his niece Max (Jessica Stroup) outside of the law to find him and exact his revenge.
Williamson warned this season would be less of an FBI chase like Season 1 ended up being most of the time. "I never envisioned this show to be such an FBI hunt," Williamson tells a small group of reporters. "One of the...

Now that "True Blood" is ending, it's time for the stars to move on to new projects. Redheaded waitress Arlene (Carrie Preston) isn't known for her good decision-making, and that is about to transfer over to Preston's latest gig.
"The Following" just cast Preston as a guest star for the highly-anticipated second season of the Fox serial killer thriller, E! Online reports.
So will Preston be friend or foe to Agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon)? Since she's set to play Judy, presumed-dead serial killer Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) most loyal groupie, we're pretty sure she won't be Ryan's biggest ally.
The Season 2 cast of "The Following" keeps getting bigger. Other recent castings include J.D. Williams as Carlos, a follower of Joe's who resurfaces in New York City, and Tehmina Sunny will play Melissa, a new friend in Ryan's life. Sorry, all you Claire/Ryan 'shippers: "The Following" just cast a new series regular for Season 2, and it doesn't mean good things for their relationship. "Boss" actress Connie Nielsen will play Ryan's (Kevin Bacon) new love interest, TVLine reports.
So how does Nielsen come into Ryan's life? She will take on the role of Lily Gray, a Soho art dealer who finds herself in a bit of trouble. When Ryan comes to her aid, a connection begins to form which causes even more problems for her -- no surprise, as Ryan believes that he has a "death curse" and is trouble for anyone that gets close to him.
And what about Claire (Natalie Zea)? We already know that Zea is returning to the Fox hit after signing an eleventh hour deal, but there is no word yet on how many episodes she will be in. This new bit of casting...

Last year up-and-coming filmmaker Keith Hodder made quite a splash in the indie genre community with the faux Grindhouse-style trailer Van Gore he co-directed with Peter Strauss and Jerrad Pulham that was selected to be a part of the Hobo with a Shotgun home release.
Now Hodder is back with his latest project called Shift, a short thriller about recent university graduate Ryan Stewart (Nick Stojanovic), who travels to Toronto with dreams of big success but instead comes face to face with harsher realities.
When he's jobless and out of money, Ryan has to make peace with his own personal defeat and make the long drive back home to eastern Canada. Maybe the best approach to watching 'Wilfred' (Thu., 11Pm Et on FX) is to stop trying to figure out what's real and what isn't and just go with it. After seeing that Ryan's mother sees her cat as Rhea Perlman in a cat suit, we meet this week another guy who can see Wilfred as a guy in a dog suit.
Or can he? Does this guy even exist, or is Ryan simply having two fantasies?
The whole show is Ryan's life in crisis, and Wilfred playing some sort of role in the process he's undergoing; a role that is at times positive and at times very negative.

It has been 20 years since Elton John was a pallbearer at his friend Ryan White's funeral. But the music legend has never forgotten the impact the brave teenager had on educating the world about living with AIDS. In memorial to White, who died at age 18 in 1990 of complications from the disease, the music legend will perform Wednesday night at a fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. "Ryan dedicated his life to helping future generations of children," his mother, Jeanne White-Ginder, said in a statement. "This event will celebrate Ryan's life and...

Elton John will celebrate the life of HIV/AIDS victim Ryan White with a charity concert in Indiana. The "Rocket Man" recently spoke out about the tragic teenager, crediting his family for giving the star the determination to give up drugs following the youngster's death in 1990.
White contracted the disease from a contaminated blood transfusion and John held a bedside vigil for him in the last week of his life. He told Parade magazine, "Every time I stopped taking drugs, after a period of time I'd go back. It got worse and worse... What finally opened my eyes was Ryan White."
"I read in a magazine that Ryan was not allowed to go to school because he had AIDS. Firebombs were being put in his family's letter box. I was enraged. I helped the White family move. I spent the last week of Ryan's life in 1990 with him in an Indianapolis hospital.

A lot of things give Life Unexpected that long-lost '90s feelin' -- delightfully bordering-on-insane character names like “Lux” and “Baze," the casual use of land lines, references to Spin Doctors and Zima. But it's the people, too. Along with Roswell's Shiri Appleby (pictured, right), Dawson's Creek alum Kerr Smith is responsible for giving the show that yummy old-school WB vibe, and it could help draw viewers in. The last cast member to jump on board, Smith called EW.com last week to talk about the first season of Unexpected and sit through my awkward insistence that he has total "CW face.

The bigamist has since been murdered by wife Natasha in an act of revenge. Speaking of Ryan's forthcoming plotlines, Sutton revealed: "He's going to have a lot more to do in the coming months. He's got to come to terms with the fact that he's got this new family now and this father who vanishes - he doesn't really get a chance to talk to him before he disappears. "He strikes up a relationship with Will, my new little brother which is really (more)...

How is it that Jason Reitman has become one of the best directors of human dramas in the last five years? After all, he's the son of Ivan Reitman, the dude who made "Stripes" and "Ghostbusters." He's a child of privilege and wealth, and yet, somehow, via "Thank You for Smoking" and "Juno," he stirred together a perfect sense of comedy and pathos that feels very familiar, even if it's put together with a silver spoon. His new film, "Up in the Air," is his best yet. It's simple, really, an inward examination of what's important to us as individuals, as seen through the eyes of Ryan Bingham. He's played to the teeth by George Clooney, who must now be considered the frontrunner in the Best Actor Oscar competition. Ryan's life is simple. He's on the road about 320 days a year. His existence is airports, airplanes, and hotels. When he gets to his destination,...

Ryan Bingham is not a man you want to meet. Not because he is unlikable, which he sometimes tries to be, but because Ryan fires people for a living. He flies from city to city, firing employees for companies too afraid to do it themselves. After so many years in the air, his sole personal ambition is to reach a million frequent flier miles, a feat only seven people have accomplished. Ryan lives a solitary life and wouldn't have it any other way.
But Ryan's life is turned upside-down with the arrival of Natalie, a young upstart at his company who pulls him off the road and threatens to outsource his job to a new video-chat system. His last chance to save his jet-setting lifestyle--and his miles--is to take Natalie on the road with him and show her that firing people needs to be done face-to-face. It's a breezy set-up,...

Jason Reitman, the Oscar-nominated director of "Juno," says he is not interested in an actor's range, much preferring honesty. "I suppose I don't really enjoy acting," he admits frankly. "I find the most memorable and impressive roles are the ones in which actors magnify elements of their own personality and are forced into a kind of self-examination." Indeed, he says he writes screenplays with specific actors in mind, writing the part tailored not only to a voice but also a similarity with the performer or his persona.Based on the novel by Walter Kim, "Up in the Air" was no exception. For Reitman, George Clooney was the obvious choice for Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizer and relentless business traveler who, after years of an unattached life, suddenly finds himself ready to make a romantic connection. Well, sort of. As with the protagonists in other Reitman films, Ryan's life choices and...

George Clooney in a high-flying classic.

"Up in the Air," the new Jason Reitman movie, is difficult to describe. It's not a romantic comedy, although it's very funny, and romance is one of its subjects. But it's not a straight drama, either, even though it pokes around in some dark corners of contemporary life. The picture is really one of a kind. And it's virtually perfect.
George Clooney, in one of his most supple performances, plays Ryan Bingham, corporate executioner. Ryan spends his life flying around the country at the behest of downsizing companies that bring him in to break the bad news to the employees they're laying off. It's a hideous job, but Ryan loves the life. He loves the anonymous luxe of his business-hotel suites, his VIP car-rental accounts, the first-class airport lounges and the...

Anna Kendrick and George Clooney in Up In the Air
Photo: Paramount Pictures Considering how much time he spends in the air, Ryan Bingham's (George Clooney) goals in life aren't too lofty. His sights are currently set on reaching 10 million miles on his frequent flier account and beyond that I guess the friendly skies are his oyster, but he doesn't seem to show any interest in grabbing hold of the pearl.
Ryan flies 270 days a year and lives out of his carry-on as he moves from city-to-city as, what he calls, a Termination Facilitator. Yup, how's that for reflecting the nation's current employment climate? Ryan works for a termination outsourcing company that sends people out to do the job corporate big wigs are too scared to do. He'll fire you, hand you a packet and give you a few words of encouragement to help you along your way to a "better" life.

Here! -- the premium network aimed at gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender audiences -- has ramped up its original programming efforts with several series renewals. It also has recently greenlighted original movies in the wake of strengthened distribution.
The network approved more seasons of several original series, including second installments of The Lair and The DL Chronicles and a third season of Paradise Falls. In addition, Chad Allen will star as a private investigator in two fresh cases of its Donald Strachey Mystery movie franchise.
These pickups -- along with the recently announced series Ryan's Life, starring Rue McClanahan, and a third-season renewal of Dante's Cove -- mean that Here! will field more than 200 hours of original programming for the 2007-08 season, with five of its series entering a second or third season.
Meanwhile, the network has in the works a movie titled Solar Flare, the first of 12 eco-disaster films that will be released in theaters by sister company Regent a week before debuting on Here! The movie, starring Tracey Gold and Michelle Clunie, centers on a scientist (Gold) who works with a mother (Clunie) and her prodigy son, who has worked out a formula for predicting solar flares.
Also in the works is House of Usher, the second planned installment in a series of 12 movies based on Edgar Allan Poe tales following The Raven. It will premiere on Here! a week after making its debut in theaters.
"We have made a huge commitment to original programming with established stars," Here! Networks founder and CEO Paul Colichman said.
