Very Funny
stickman200618 September 2006
A laugh a minute I seen the first one last year and I forgot the name of the program, genuine wit and grip, the pilot episode felt like it was ready for take-off then a month ago the adverts, I was happy that the show, I seen last year was finally coming on. The plot is class the first episode is so funny I could not stop laughing, its a shame their is only going to be about 7 episodes, an excellent comedy with some sharp one-liners and original characters. I'm With Stupid is a contemporary Odd Couple style comedy which explores disability in a funny and truthful way. Over 50 per cent of the cast are registered disabled and it's fantastic to be able to bring fresh new perspectives and original and funny characters and stories to our viewers in this way." You should watch it!

Brilliant!

This program was so funny, mainly because of the fact that it did not focus on the disability of the cast members but on relationships. All of the cast were amazing. Special mention to Alan Martin as Graham in his first ever TV role. Mark Benton is just such a funny man and he played the down-and-out to perfection. Ruth Jones, as usual, played a brilliant part. Paul Henshall was very believable as a guy with no friends and Kevin Davies is an actor to look out for in the future - he has great delivery and comedy skills. The potential for the program is really exciting and I hope to see a lot of development of the characters and the interaction between them. I can't wait for the series next year!

great sitcom

I agree, this show was truly one of the better sitcoms of recent years. the characters were amazing in their portrayals. I really hope that the B.B.C. has the foresight to continue with this genuinely funny and brave show. Mark Benton and Paul Henshall gelled marvellously to become the new odd couple of comedy. Ruth Jones excelled as Jean, Steve Edge added to the show with his great comedy acting, and Kevin Davids, Alan Martin and Cherylee Houston fared brilliantly as the supporting cast, bringing to life charmingly devious individuals. well done the B.B.C. for bringing this show to our screens and allowing the talents of new disabled actors to be seen and enjoyed along side already established and loved able-bodied actors.
