According to a featurette on the Season 1 DVD set, "Finding Leo", Jude Law was supposed to appear in one of the episodes but pulled out at the last minute, leaving Gervais and Merchant scrambling to find a replacement. "Finding Leo" follows Gervais' unsuccessful attempts to contact Leonardo DiCaprio.
In some episodes, some lines by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are different in America than they are in Britain.
Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are the names of two real British producers, both of whom worked on projects such as Jimmy Carr: Stand Up (2005) (V).
